Մամուլում շրջանառվում է տեղեկություն այն մասին, որ «Երրորդ ուժ» քաղաքացիական նախաձեռնությունը պառակտվել է, քանի որ դրա որոշ անդամները առանձնացել են։ «Երրորդ ուժ» քաղաքացիական նախաձեռնության անդամներից մեկն էլ ԵՊՀ սահմանադրական իրավունքի ամբիոնի վարիչ Վարդան Այվազյանն է, որից ԼՈՒՐԵՐ․com-ը փորձեց ճշտել՝ արդյոք շարունակում է համագործակցել «Երրորդ ուժ»-ի շրջանակներում, թե ոչ։

«Մինչև «Երրորդ ուժ» նախաձեռնությունը՝ ես, որպես անհատ քաղաքացի, անդամակցում էի «Հայահավաք» շարժմանը: Այնուհետև այդ շարժման մասնակիցների կազմում հանդիպում ունեցանք Արտակ Թովմասյանի հետ և քննարկումների արդյունքում «Հայահավաք» շարժումը՝ իր նախաձեռնողների կազմով որոշեց միանալ «Երրորդ ուժ»-ի քաղաքացիական նախաձեռնությանը»,-նշեց «Երրորդ ուժ» քաղաքացիական նախաձեռնության անդամ Վարդան Այվազյանը։

Ըստ Վարդան Այվազյանի խոսքերի, երբ «Հայահավաքը» միացավ «Երրորդ ուժ» քաղաքացիական նախաձեռնությանը այդ ժամանակ ներկայացուցիչների համատեղ գործելու պայմանավորվածությունները եղան բացառապես, քաղաքացիական շարժման ձևաչափում, որի թիվ մեկ խնդիրը վարչապետի հրաժարակին հասնելն էր․ «Հետագայում, երբ արդեն սկսվեց քննարկվել, թե ինչպիսի քաղաքական ճանապարհ պետք է անցնեն, այդ ժամանակ արդեն Արտակ Թովմասյանը նշեց, որ քաղաքական ուղին պատրաստվում է անցնել միայնակ՝ իր կողմից ձևավորվելիք քաղաքական թիմով, որը ներկայում լծված է կուսակցության շինարարության գործին, և որ քաղաքական ճանապարհ անցնելու առումով իր պատկերացումները փոքր-ինչ այլ են։ Նա պնդեց, որ«Երրորդ ուժ»-ի շրջանակներում Արամ Սարգսյանի, Արագած Ախոյանի, Արշակ Զաքարյանի և Տիգրան Չոբանյանի հետ համագործակցությունը տեսնում է միայն քաղաքացիական շարժման, այլ ոչ թե քաղաքական  դաշինքի ձևաչափում»,- ասաց Վարդան Այվազյանը՝ հավելելով, որ «Հայահավաքի» ներկայացուցիչները այդ խոսակցությունից հետո քաղաքակիրթ ձևով առանձնացան «Երրորդ ուժ»-ից։

Մեր այն հարցին, թե ինքը արդյոք չի պատրաստվում միանալ իր գործընկերներին՝ «Հայահավաքին» և  հեռանա «Երրորդ ուժ» քաղաքացիական նախաձեռնությունից, պատասխանեց․ «Ես բավականին երկար զրուցեցի Արտակ Թովմասյանի հետ, որից հետո հասկացա, որ Արտակ Թովմասյանի ձեռնարկած նախագիծը բավականին հեռանկարային է, հայրենասիրական է։ Ես մեծ հաճույքով համաձայնեցի աջակցել կուսակցաշինության գործընթացին և հիմա՝ այս պահի դրությամբ, բավականին հագեցած գրաֆիկով լծված եմ այդ գործին, միևնույն ժամանակ ուզում եմ նշել, որ անհրաժեշտության դեպքում պատրաստ եմ իմ գիտելիքները ծառայեցնել նաև ոչ միայն «Հայահավաք»-ի իմ ընկերներին, այլև ցանկացած հայրենասիրական առաքելության, որն ուղղված է պետականության վերականգնմանը»,- ասաց Վարդան Այվազյանը՝ նշելով, որ թե՛ «Հայահավաքի» կազամակերպության  և թե՛ «Երրորդ ուժ»-ի ներկայացուցիչները հայրենասիրական արդար մղումներով շարժվող մարդիկ են, որոնք փորձ են անում ժամ առաջ մեր երկիրը դուրս բերել այս ճգնաժամային իրավիճակից։

Հիշեցնենք, որ «Երրորդ ուժ» քաղաքացիական նախաձեռնությունը ձևավորել էր վերջերս՝ «Թովմասյան» հիմնադրամի նախագահ Արտակ Թովմասյանի կողմից։ «Երրորդ ուժը» ընդդիմադիր նախաձեռնություն է, որի մաս էին կազմել նաեւ «Հայահավաք» նախաձեռնության անդամները՝ Արագած Ախոյանը, Դեմոկրատական կուսակցության առաջնորդ Արամ Գասպարի Սարգսյանը, Արշակ Զաքարյանը, և այլք։
