Մայիսի 26-ին Երևանում տեղի ունեցավ Ռուսաստանի հայերի միության նախագահ Արա Աբրամյանի հանդիպումը լրագրողների և հայտնի բլոգգերների հետ, որի ընթացքում ոչ միայն խոսվեց Հայաստանի ներկա իրավիճակի, ռուս-հայկական հարաբերությունների, մեծ բարերարի կատարած աշխատանքների մասին, այլ նաև հանրությանը ներկայացվեց միության նախաձեռնությամբ հրատարակված «Ռուսաստանի հայերի միության 20-ամյա գործունեությունը՝ ի նպաստ Հայաստանի և Արցախի» գիրքը։ Միությունը, շնորհիվ իր միջազգային ճանաչման, հեղինակության, Սփյուռքի հետ արդյունավետ համագործակցության և որդեգրած առաքելության, կատարել է բազում հանրօգուտ ու ազգանպաստ աշխատանքներ, բարեգործական ծրագրեր, որոնցից մի քանիսը նկարագրված են այս գրքում․
․ Աֆրիկայում գերեվարված և 457 օր կալանավայրում գտնվող 6 հայ օդաչուների բանտարկությունից ազատում։
․ Բնակարանների նվիրատվություն հայ ներգաղթյալներին։
․ Համակարգչային զինում Հայաստանի մի շարք դպրոցներում։
․ Միության նախագահ Արա Աբրամյանի կարևոր մասնակցությունը բազմաթիվ միջազգային համաժողովներում։
․ ՀՀ սահմանամերձ համայնքների զարգացմանն ուղղված ծրագրերի իրագործում։
․ Մշակութային կառույցների ստեղծում, արվեստի և հանրակրթական դպրոցների վերանորոգման աշխատանքների իրականացում ՀՀ տարբեր համայնքներում։
․ Մշակութային փառատոնների կազմակերպում։
․ Երիտասարդական ծրագրերի մշակում և իրականացում։
․ Հայոց ցեղասպանության միջազգային ճանաչման հարցում ներգրավվածություն։

Հանդիպման ընթացքում ներկայացվեցին նաև Ռուսաստանի հայերի միության կողմից հրատարակված այլ գրքեր։
