Ավստրալիայի Հայ Դատի հանձնախումբն այդ երկրի խորհրդարանի անդամների հետ հուլիսի 26-ին կազմակերպել է քննարկում ՀՀ մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպան Արման Թաթոյանի մասնակցությամբ ադրբեջանական պատերազմական հանցագործությունների, այդ թվում՝ ահաբեկիչների ներգրավմամբ, սահմանային բնակիչների իրավունքների և գերիների ազատ արձակման թեմաներով։


Արման Թաթոյանը ներկայացրել է ադրբեջանական զինված ուժերի կողմից ՀՀ սահմանային բնակիչների իրավունքների խախտումների փաստերը: Մասնավորապես, Պաշտպանը ներկայացրել է ապացույցներ, որոնք հիմնավորում են, որ Սյունիքի և Գեղարքունիքի գյուղերի հարևանությամբ, Սյունիքի համայնքների միջև ճանապարհներին ադրբեջանական զինվորականներ, դրոշներ ու ցուցանակներ չպետք է լինեն: Նրանց ներկայությունն ինքնին կյանքի իրավունքի խախտում է:
Ադրբեջանական զինծառայողները պարբերաբար առաջացնում են բերքահավաք և խոտքաղ իրականացնելու խոչընդոտներ, կատարում են կենդանիների գողություններ, հնչեցնում են բնակիչների նկատմամբ սպառնալիքներ և այլն: Ադրբեջանական զինծառայողների այս հանցավոր արարքներն ուղղված են ՀՀ քաղաքացիական բնակիչներին կյանքի, սեփականության և այլ կենսական իրավունքներից, անասնապահությամբ զբաղվելու և ընտանիքի եկամուտը վաստակելու հնարավորությունից զրկելուն:


Հայաստանի մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանը մանրամասն ներկայացրել է մարդասիրական ու մարդու իրավունքների ոլորտի միջազգային այն կանոնները, որոնք պահանջում են գերիների անհապաղ ազատ արձակում ու անվտանգ վերադարձ: Ընդ որում, միջազգային մարդասիրական իրավունքի ու գերիների իրավունքների կոպիտ խախտում է նրանց «ահաբեկիչներ» կամ «դիվերսանտներ» ներկայացնելը, քանի որ խոսքը գնում է շարունակվող զինված հակամարտության մասին: Նա նշել է, որ հայկական կողմի բոլոր զինծառայողները և քաղաքացիական անձինք կարգավիճակով գերիներ են, պետք է անհապաղ ազատ արձակվեն և վերադարձվեն հայրենիք՝ առանց որևէ քաղաքական կամ այլ նախապայմանի:


Ադրբեջանական իշխանություններն արհեստական ձգձգում, քաղաքականացնում են գործընթացը՝ կոպտորեն ոտնահարելով գերիների և նրանց ընտանիքների իրավունքները, նրանց պատճառելով տառապանքներ և առաջացնելով լարվածություն հասարակությունում:


Արման Թաթոյանը ևս մեկ անգամ վերահաստատել է իր այն եզրակացությունը, որ Արցախի խաղաղ բնակչությանը թիրախավորելն ու նրանց նկատմամբ արգելված զինատեսակներ կիրառելը, վարձկան ահաբեկիչների ներգրավումը, հայատյացությունն ու համատարած վայրագություններն ու անմարդկային վերաբերմունքը, դաժանությունները վկայում են Արցախում ահաբեկչական մեթոդներով էթնիկ զտումներ իրականացնելու ադրբեջանական քաղաքականության մասին, որը շարունակվում է մինչ օրս:


Պաշտպանը նշել է, որ Բաքվում պատերազմին վերաբերող այսպես կոչված «ցուցահանդես-պուրակի» բացումը պետական աջակցությամբ հայատյացության ու ադրբեջանական ցեղասպան քաղաքականության ապացույց է:


Նա նաև ընդգծել է, որ դա մարդկային տառապանքների թանգարան է, որը նպատակ ունի ատելություն առաջացնել էթնիկ հայի նկատմամբ և նվաստացնել մարդկային արժանապատվությունը:
Հա դատի հանձնախումբը և Ավստրալիայի խորհրդարանի անդամները կարևորել են ՀՀ մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանի գործունեությունը պատերազմի ժամանակ և դրանից հետո մարդու իրավունքների խախտումներն արձանագրելու հարցում:
