Սերբիայում ընթացող ըմբշամարտի մինչև 23 տարեկանների աշխարհի առաջնությունում Հայաստանի ներկայացուցիչ,ազատ ոճային ըմբիշ Արսեն Հարությունյանը դուրս է եկել կիսաեզրափակիչ՝ քառորդ եզրափակչում10-0 հաշվով հաղթանակ տանելով Մեծ Բրիտանիայի ներկայացուցիչ Մուհամադ Մոկաևի նկատմամբ:

Հարությունյանը պայքարը սկսել է որակավորման փուլից, որտեղ 11-1 հաշվով հաղթել է Հունգարիայի ներկայացուցչին, 1/8 եզրափակչում Արսենը գոտեմարտել է Գերմանիայի ներկայացուցիչ Նիկո Մեգերլեի հետ և 6-0 հաշվով հաղթանակ տարել:

Կիսաեզրափակիչ է դուրս եկել նաև 74 կգ քաշային Հրայր Ալիխանյանը: Քառորդ եզրափակչում Ալիխանյանը 10-0 հաշվով հաղթել է Ուզբեկստանի ներկայացուցիչ Ասոմիդին Հասանովին, իսկ կիսաեզրափակչում կգոտեմարտի իրանցի ըմբիշի հետ:

Ալիխանյանը պայքարը սկսել է որակավորման փուլից, որտեղ 0-0 հաշվով է ավարտել գոտեմարտը քենիացի ըմբիշի հետ: 1/8 եզրափակչում Ալիխանյանն առավելության է հասել Ղազախստանի ներկայացուցչի նկատմամբ:

Հայաստանի մյուս ներկայացուցիչ, 65 կգ քաշային Հրաչյա Մարգարյանը կգոտեմարտի բրոնզե մեդալի համար. մրցակիցը Թուրքիայի ներկայացուցիչ Ջավիթ Աջարն է: Մարգարյանը պայքարը սկսել է որակավորման փուլից, որտեղ գոտեմարտել է Ֆրանսիայի ներկայացուցիչ Մարվանե Ահմեդ Յեզայի հետ և 4-2 հաշվով հաղթանակ տարել, 1/8 եզրափակչում Մարգարյանը 3-0 հաշվով հաղթել է բելառուս ըմբիշին,քառորդ եզրափակչում Մարգարյանը 2-2 հաշվով է ավարտել գոտեմարտը Հունաստանի ներկայացուցիչ Գեորգիոս Պիլիդիսի հետ: Հույն ըմբիշը հասել է մինչև եզրափակիչ և Մարգարյանը սփոփիչ գոտեմարտ անցկացնելու իրավունք է ստացել: Սփոփիչ գոտեմարտում էլ հայ ըմբիշը 6-5 հաշվով հաղթել է Հնդկաստանի ներկայացուցչին և բրոնզե մեդալի համար պայքարելու հնարավորություն ստացել:

Հայաստանի մյուս ներկայացուցիչ, 86 կգ քաշային Մհեր Մարկոսյանը պարտվել է քառորդ եզրափակչում. նա 0-5 հաշվով զիջել է իրանցի ըմբիշին:
