2018 թվականին շատերը ցնծությամբ ընդունեցին հեղափոխությունն ու հեղափոխականներին: Դեռ էն ժամանակ ինչ-որ ներքին զգացողությամբ ուժգին մերժողականություն կար մեջս կատարվողի հանդեպ: Քաղաքական տեսանկյունից շատ եմ խոսել, ասել, մատնանշել, թե ինչ կործանարար հետևանքներ ունեցավ մեր երկրի համար «Նիկոլի դարաշրջանը», որը, ցավոք, դեռ չի էլ ավարտվել: Բայց հիմա ուզում եմ խոսել ավելի մարդկային, հոգեբանական հեղափոխության մասին, որը եկավ 2018-ին:
 
Մինչ հեղափոխությունը ես անգամ մտածել չէի կարող, որ որևէ մեկի հետ շփվելիս մտքում անվերջ մտածելու եմ «տեսնես նիկոլակա՞ն ա, թե՞, ամեն դեպքում, չէ...», ու դա ինձ համար այնքան առանցքային կլինի, որ ազատորեն չեմ շփվի մարդու հետ, մինչև չհամոզվեմ, որ նիկոլական չի: Այսպիսով, մարդկային պարզ շփումները ստորադասվեցին քաղաքական հայացքներին: Մարդիկ, ովքեր չունեն քաղաքական հայացքներ կամ անտարբեր են քաղաքականության հանդեպ, հիմա էնքան փոքր տոկոս են կազմում, որ ընդհանուրի մեջ գուցե ոչ էլ նկատվեն: Բայց վատն էն ա, որ ոչ միայն ես եմ «ստրախովկայով» շփվում մարդկանց հետ, մինչև ճշտեմ նրանց քաղաքական կողմնորոշումը, այլև նրանք` ինձ հետ: Վերլուծելով հասկանում եմ, որ էս ամենը ինձ համար վաղուց դադարել է քաղաքականություն լինել: Սա խորը հոգեբանական խնդիր է` արմատացած ողջ հայաստանյան հասարակության մեջ, և դա ունի շատ կոնկրետ պատճառներ:
 
Ես, անկեղծորեն, ցավ եմ ապրում, որ հայ հասարակության մեջ կա լուրջ պառակտում և հստակ գիտակցում եմ` որքան կործանարար է դա: Էդ պառակտման պատճառով ես որոշ հարազատ մարդկանցից բավական հեռացա, կամ էլ, գուցե, նրանք հեռացան ինձանից, էդ պառակտման հետևանքով ես կորցրի (վախենալով եմ էս բառն օգտագործում) լավագույն ընկերուհուս, էդ պառակտման արդյունքում մենք բոլորս վերածվեցինք սևերի ու սպիտակների... Սա ոչ միայն մաշում է հոգեպես ու ֆիզիկապես, այլև կենաց նոր կանոններ է սահմանում, որոնց հետ ես ոչ մի կերպ չեմ կարողանում հարմարվել, որովհետև մինչ այդ ես ապրել եմ մի կանոնով` «մարդկայինը վեր է ամեն ինչից»: Իսկ հիմա ամենօրյա ռեժիմով սպասում եմ, որ մարդկային հարաբերություններում տեղի ունեցած էս հեղափոխությունը օր առաջ կավարտվի` հեղափոխականների հեռանալով, որովհետև այլ լուծում ես էս գորշ իրականությունից դուրս գալու ուղղակի, անկեղծորեն, չեմ տեսնում:
