Երեկ ուշ երեկոյան հայտնի դարձավ, որ հրաժարական է ներկայացրել ՀՀ նախագահ Արմեն Սարգսյանը։ Թեև այս որոշումը սպասված էր, սակայն, այնուամենայնիվ պետք է նշել, որ Սարգսյանի հրաժարականն ակնհայտորեն արագացնում է քաղաքական որոշ գործընթացների ընթացքը։ Ամիսներ առաջ մենք գրել էինք, որ սահմանադրական բարեփոխումների միջոցով Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը նպատակ ունի ավելացնել հանրապետության նախագահի լիազորությունները և նորից վերականգնել նախագահի համապետական ընտրության կարգը։ Ասել է թե` Փաշինյանը պատրաստվում է վարչապետի աթոռը փոխարինել նախագահի աթոռով։ Իսկ ի՞նչ քաղաքական դիվիդենտներ է դա տալու Նիկոլ Փաշինյանին։
 
Գաղտնիք չէ, որ Փաշինյանը մեծ կախվածություն ունի իր վարկանիշից, որն օր-օրի նվազում է։ Զբաղեցնելով վարչապետի պաշտոնը` նա ուղիղ պատասխանատվություն է կրում քաղաքացիների սոցիալական բարեկեցության համար։ Հայաստանի ունեցած հնարավորություններով Փաշինյանը չի կարողանում և չի կարողանալու շատ արագ լուծել բոլոր այն սոցիալական խնդիրները, որոնց լուծման խոստումով եկել է իշխանության։ Այսօր երկրում առկա խնդիրների գլխավոր պատասխանատուն հենց Փաշինյանն է և նա զրկված է իր փոխարեն որևէ մեկին պատասխանատվության կանչելու հնարավորությունից։ Հենց այդ բացն էլ Փաշինյանը փորձելու է լրացնել` ստանձնելով նախագահի պաշտոնը։ Նա, ինչպես ժամանակին Սերժ Սարգսյանը, հնարավորություն կստանա փոխել կառավարության ղեկավարներին` նրանց դարձնելով ձախողումների գլխավոր պատասխանատու և դրանից հետո էլ պահպանել պաշտոնը։
 
Բացի այդ, ստանձնելով նախագահի պաշտոնը և ընտրվելով անմիջականորեն քաղաքացիների կողմից` Փաշինյանը կնվազեցնի ԱԺ-ից և քաղաքական թիմից ունեցած իր կախվածությունը։ Այսօր ԱԺ-ն է երկրի թիվ մեկ քաղաքական ինստիտուտը, ինչը ստիպում է Փաշինյանին սիրաշահել թիմակիցներին, որպեսզի այստեղ ամեն ինչ ընթանա հալած յուղի պես։ Դառնալով նախագահ և նվազեցնելով կախվածությունը խորհրդարանից` Փաշինյանը մինիմումի կհասցնի նաև այսպես կոչված` պալատական հեղաշրջման ռիսկը, էականորեն կնվազի նաև ընդդիմության ` Փաշինյանին ԱԺ-ով գահընկեց անելու գործիքակազմը։
 
Մյուս առավելությունը, որը Փաշինյանը ձեռք կբերի ստանձնելով նախագահի պաշտոնը` դա, անշուշտ, միահեծան իշխանությունն է, որն այսօր նրան օդի և ջրի պես է անհրաժեշտ` հաշվի առնելով տարածաշրջանային իրողությունները և ապագայում ընդունվելիք որոշումները։ Դիցուք` հայ-թուրքական և հայ-ադրբեջանական հարաբերությունների կարգավորման հարցում Փաշինյանի ձեռքերն այլևս ազատ կլինեն։
 
Պարզից էլ պարզ է, որ Փաշինյանը երբեք չէր գնա վարչապետի լիազորությունների կրճատման, եթե նպատակ ունենար մնալ այդ պաշտոնում։ Փաշինյանը լավ է հասկացել, որ վարչապետի պաշտոնում ինքը թիրախ է և չի կարող հանրության դժգոհությունը նվազեցնել փոխվարչապետերի կամ նախարարների հրաժարականով։ Երբ նոր Սահմանադրությունը պատրաստ լինի, իսկ այդ գործընթացն արդեն իսկ մեկնարկել է, Փաշինյանը նոր ընտրակարգով կդառնա նախագահ, ընդ որում մինչ նախագահ դառնալը` հնարավորություն կունենա նաև պահպանել վարչապետի լիազորություններն ու լծակները, որպեսզի լիարժեք ապահովագրի իրեն։
