Ալիևը, ամենայն հավանականությամբ, տեսնում է, որ Հայաստանում մարդիկ երկրորդ կամ երրորդ նախագահների անվան շուրջ մարդիկ ավելի մեծ հույսեր են սկսում կապել։ Նա, կարծում եմ, հնարավորություն է տեսնում, որ Հայաստանում ընդդիմությունը կարող է ինչ-որ մի պահից իր ձեռքը վերցնել Հայաստանի կառավարումը, իսկ դա,բնականաբար, փակելու է Ադրբեջանի բոլոր ոտնձգությունների ճանապարհը։ Այս մասին քիչ առաջ հրավիրած մամուլի ասուլիսի ժամանակ հայտարարեց պաշտպանության նախկին փոխնախարար Արտակ Զաքարյանը։

«Դա ստիպելու է Ադրբեջանին ու Թուրքիային հարգել Հայաստանի ինքնիշխանությունը։ Դա հնարավորություն է բացելու Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի կարգավիճակի շուրջ բանակցությունները վերակենդանացնելու, միջազգային  մեր գործընկերներին ներգրավելու, դա հնարավորություն է ստեղծելու հայ-ռուսական կառուցողական, գործընկերային, դաշնակցային, ռազմական հարաբերությունները նորից վերականգնելու։ Այս ամենը Ալիևի սրտով չի բնականաբար։ Ալիևին այսօր պետք է, որ Հայաստանը ոչ մի շահ չունենա, լինի ուղղակի զուտ սպառող։ Խաղաղություն սպառող, սնունդ սպառող, էներգիա սպառող, որ իրենք էլ ինչպես ուզենան, այդպես էլ վերաբերվեն Հայաստանին։ Ուզենան միջանցք բացեն, ուզենան կրակեն, ուզենան չկրակեն և այլն։ Ինձ համար այդպես էլ անհասկանալի է՝ ինչու են մեր իշխանությունները Ալիևի դուդուկի տակ պարում։ Եթե նկատել եք, Ալիևը այս իշխանությունների հետ երբեք էլ խնդիր չի ունեցել, չի ունեցել խնդիր, թե պատերազմից հետո, թե առաջ։ Նրա խնդիրը եղել և շարունակում են մնալ Հայաստանի նախկին նախագահները, հատկապես երկրորդն ու երրորդը»,- ասաց Զաքարյանը։
