Վերջին օրերին մամուլում ամենաքննարկվողներից են Վլադիմիր Պուտինի և Վլադիմիր Զելենսկու հանդիպմանը վերաբերող լուրերը, որը կանխատեսվում է առաջիկա շաբաթների ընթացքում: 

Ռուսաստանի նախագահի մամուլի քարտուղար Դմիտրի Պեսկովն այսօր լրագրողների հետ զրույցում ասել է, որ ռուսական պատվիրակությունն անհամեմատ ավելի արագ աշխատելու պատրաստակամություն է ցուցաբերում, սակայն ուկրաինական պատվիրակությունը բանակցությունների տեմպի արագացման պատրաստակամություն չի ցուցաբերում:

«Ես կարծում եմ, որ նման տիպի տեղեկատվությունն ավելի շատ քարոզչական բնույթ ունի, և մեծ հաշվով չեմ կարող գնահատել, թե իրականությունն ինչպիսին է: Երկու կողմն էլ հայտարարում է, որ կողմ է բանակցային գործընթաց տանելուն, եթե հիշում եք, Զելենսկին էլ էր հայտարարում, որ իրենք օր առաջ պատրաստ են նստելու բանակցային սեղանի շուրջ: Բանակցություններ վարելը քարոզչական պատերազմի մի մասն է: Իրականում բանակցությունները սովորաբար վարում են այն ժամանակ, երբ պատերազմում գոնե դադար է լինում, որոշում է կայացվում կա՛մ դադարեցնել ռազմական գործողությունները, կա՛մ հումանիտար միջանցքներով մարդկանց տեղահանել: Իսկ թե լուրջ քաղաքական բանակցությունների առումով ինչ խնդիրներ են դրված երկու կողմերի օրակարգում, ես կդժվարանամ մեկնաբանել»: 

Թուրքայի՝ բանակցություններն Անկարայում հյուրընկալելու պատրաստակամության վերաբերյալ հայտարարությանն անդրադառնալով՝ քաղաքագետը նշեց.

«Այսօր շատ շրջանականեր են ուզում միջնորդական առաքելություն կատարել Ռուսաստանի և Ուկրաինայի միջև: Բնականաբար, Թուրքիան նույնպես անընդհատ փորձելու է այդ միջնորդի դերը կատարել, որպեսզի քաղաքական դիվիդենդներ ստանա: Կհաջողվի, թե ոչ, կարծում եմ՝ ցույց կտա ժամանակը»:
