Eadaily.com-ը գրում է, որ Բաքուն փորձում է հակամարտությունը տեղափոխել հայ-ադրբեջանական սահման, և վերջին զինված միջադեպերը մարտավարական քայլեր են այդ ուղղությամբ։ Նման կարծիքով է կիսել ՀՀ վարչապետի նախկին գլխավոր խորհրդական Արսեն Գասպարյանը։ Նրա խոսքով, ներկայումս Ռուսաստանը փորձում է հետաձգել Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի կարգավիճակի որոշման հարցի լուծումը, քանի որ չի տեսնում կողմերի մերձեցման հիմքեր ու հնարավորություններ։ Մոսկվայի որոշակի հանգստությունն այդ հարցում կապված է նաև հակամարտության գոտում ռուս խաղաղապահների առկայության հետ։ Ուստի Ռուսաստանը  կձգտի շարունակել կենտրոնանալ չճանաչված հանրապետության կարգավիճակին չվերաբերվող այնպիսի հարցերի վրա, ինչպիսիք են հայ-ադրբեջանական սահմանի սահմանազատումը և տրանսպորտային հաղորդակցությունների ապաշրջափակումը, ասել է Գասպարյանը։ Նա  նաև նշել է, որ նման իրավիճակը հղի է նաև սպառնալիքներով, քանի որ Ադրբեջանը շարունակում է ակտիվ գործել իր առաջ դնելով ռազմավարական նպատակ, որն է «ապահովել հայերի արտագաղթը Լեռնային Ղարաբաղից», ավելին, Բաքուն փորձում է լուծել նաև մեկ այլ խնդիր, որն է հակամարտությունը տեղափոխել հայկական սահման։

 «Ադրբեջանը հետևողականորեն փորձում է հարցը տեղափոխել հայ-ադրբեջանական սահման։ Սահմանին հրետակոծությունը, որի ականատեսն ենք հիմա, պատահական չէ և կշարունակվի այնքան ժամանակ, քանի դեռ Ադրբեջանը չի հասել իր նպատակին։ Իսկ նրա նպատակն է ցույց տալ միջազգային հանրությանը, որ սա հակամարտություն է Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև և հայ-ադրբեջանական սահմանին»,- ասել է Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի նախկին խորհրդականը։ Գասպարյանն այնուհետև ընդգծել է, որ տարածաշրջանում խաղաղություն հաստատելու լուրջ դիվանագիտական ​​ջանքեր չի տեսնում ո՛չ Հայաստանի, ո՛չ Ադրբեջանի կողմից։ Նրա խոսքով դա զրոյացնում է համապարփակ լուծման հասնելու հնարավորությունը և նշանակում է, որ որոշակի փուլում ռազմական գործողությունների վերսկսման հավանականությունը չափազանց մեծ է։

հիշեցնենք, որ ավելի վաղ վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը հայտարարել էր, որ Ադրբեջանը փորձում է լեգիտիմություն ստեղծել Հայաստանի հետ նոր պատերազմի համար։ Նրա խոսքով, Ադրբեջանը բոյկոտում է ձեռք բերված պայմանավորվածությունները և չի արձագանքում Հայաստանի առաջարկներին։ Միաժամանակ Բաքուն հրապարակավ հենց Երևանին է մեղադրում երկխոսությունից իբր հրաժարվելու մեջ։
