«ԱՐԱՐ» հիմնադրամի համահիմնադիր, հասարակական-քաղաքական գործիչ Ավետիք Չալաբյանն ազատության մեջ է։ Երեկ ուշ երեկոյան նա ազատ է արձակվել «Արմավիր» քրեակատարողական հիմնարկից։ Ժամը 21։00-ին ավարտվել է նրան կալանքի տակ պահելու ժամկետը, իսկ նոր դատական ակտ, որով կերկարացվեր խափանման միջոցի կիրառումը չկար, և օրենքի ուժով Չալաբյանը ազատ է արձակվել։

«Միասին գտնվում ենք մի պայքարի մեջ մեր հայրենիքի, իդեալների, իղձերի համար, շնորհակալություն ընտանիքիս, փաստաբանական թիմին, լրատվական համայնքին։ Այս ամենը փոքր դրվագ է մեծ պայքարի համայնապատկերի մեջ։ Սա մի փոքր զոհողություն էր իմ հայրենիքի զոհասեղանին»,- լրագրողների հետ զրույցում ասել է Ավետիք Չալաբյանը։

2 ամսից ավելի գտնվելով անազատության մեջ՝ Չալաբյանը դուրս գալուց հետո հիշել է թե՛ պատերազմում իրենց կյանքը զոհած հայորդիներին, թե՛ այն մարդկանց, ովքեր զրկանքներ են կրել և շարունակում են կրել այս իշխանությունների օրոք իրենց քաղաքական հայացքների համար։

Փաստացի, գործող իշխանություններին՝ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի գլխավորությամբ, չհաջողվեց կոտրել Ավետիք Չալաբյանին, չհաջողվեց ստիպել նրան գործարքի գնալ գործող իշխանությունների հետ, ընկրկել և խեղճանալ։ Ընդհակառակը, վստահաբար կարելի է պնդել, որ նա քրեակատարողական հիմնարկից դուրս է եկել ավելի փորձառու։ Այս դատավարությունը դեռ շարունակվելու է՝ հանրությանը պահելով լարվածության մեջ, դատավորի և իշխանությունների պահվածքը վկայում է, թե նրանք առանձնապես մտադիր չեն տեղի տալ հանրային ճնշմանը։

Սպառվել էին Ավետիք Չալաբյանին կալանքի տակ պահելու թե՛ իրավական, թե՛ քաղաքական բոլոր հիմքերը։ Չալաբյանի գործը ցայտուն օրինակ է, թե ինչպես է գործող վարչախումբն իր որակյալ ընդդիմախոսներին զնդանի տակ պահում՝ խուսափելու քաղաքական լուրջ զարգացումներից, փաստարկված քննադատությունից։
