ԱԺ նախկին պատգամավոր, ադրբեջանագետ Տաթևիկ Հայրապետյանը ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրում է. «Արցախի պետնախարար Ռուբեն Վարդանյանը հարցազրույց է տվել BBC Hard Talk-ին: Հիշեցնեմ, որ նման հարցազրույցներ ՀՀ պաշտոնյաներից ունեցել են Զոհրապ Մնացականյանը և Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը: Չեմ հիշում դեպք, որ Արցախից որևէ պաշտոնյա հարցազրույց ունենա այս հաղորդման շրջանակներում: Չեմ տեսել նաև, որ ադրբեջանցի պաշտոնյա հյուրընկալվի այս հաղորդմանը: Իսկապես բարդ ձևաչափ է, հնչող սուր, ոչ հաճելի հարցեր և պատասխանելու շատ քիչ ժամանակ։

Ոչ զարմանալիորեն, հարցազրույցի մասին առաջինը գրել են ադրբեջանական աղբյուրները: Հարցազրույցը դեռ չի տեղադրվել BBC-ի յութուբյան ալիքում: Ադրբեջանական աղբյուրների հաղորդմամբ՝ Վարդանյանը խոսել է բլոկադայի, դրա հետևանքով ստեղծված հումանիտար ճգնաժամի մասին: Վարդանյանը նշել է, որ Արցախում հայերն ապրում են հազարամյակներով: Նա նշել է, վերջին 35 տարիներին հայերը համառ պայքար են մղում անկախության ճանաչման համար: Նշել է, որ Արցախը երբեք չի եղել ներկայիս Ադրբեջանի մաս: Արցախը Ադրբեջանական ԽՍՀ-ից դուրս է եկել բոլոր իրավական կարգավորումների համաձայն: Նա խոսել է Արցախի ու Ադրբեջանի քաղաքական համակարգերի տարբերությունից և շեշտել, որ եթե Արցախում արդեն չորս ղեկավար է փոխվել, ապա Ադրբեջանում տասնամյակներով նույն ընտանիքն է ղեկավարում երկիրը: Կրկին շեշտել է, որ պատրաստ են բանակցությունների, պատրաստ են ապրել որպես հարևաններ, բայց չեն լինի Ադրբեջանի մաս: Նա նշել է նաև միջազգային հանրությունից եկող օգնության մասին: Հնչել են հարցեր նրա անձի հետ կապված, ինչպես նաև՝ Հայաստանի և Ռուսաստանի հետ ունեցած հարաբերությունների մասին: Հարցազրույցի վերջում Վարդանյանը ասել է, որ անկախ նրանից կզբաղեցնի պաշտոն, թե չէ, ինքը կմնա Արցախում, քանի որ եկել է Արցախ՝ մարդկանց կողքին լինելու և այս փորձությունները միասին հաղթահարելու նպատակով։

Կարծում եմ այս հարցազրույցը և հնչած մտքերը շատ կարևոր են Արցախի շրջափակման ու դրա հետևանքով ստեղծված իրավիճակի ներկայացման առումով: Վստահ եմ, որ հարցազրույցը շուտով հասանալի կլինի յութուբյան ալիքով: Բայց քանի որ սա շատ է նյարդայնացրել ադրբեջանական կողմին, առաջինը նրանք են գրել ու հրապարակել հարցազրույցի բովանդակությունը»:
