Երեկ՝ հուլիսի 23-ին, ողբերգական ավտովթար է տեղի ունեցել Արմավիրի մարզում։ Ժամը 22։50-ի սահմաններում Արմավիրի մարզի բնակիչ 48-ամյա Նվեր Ղ․-ն իր վարած Opel Astra մակնիշի ավտոմեքենայով Էջմիածին քաղաքի Արարատյան փողոցի վերջնամասում դուրս է եկել երթևեկելի գոտուց և բախվել ճանապարհին կայանված ՌԴ քաղաքացի 28-ամյա Ալան Կ․-ի վարած Volvo մակնիշի բեռնատարի հետնամասին։ 

Ինչպես դեպքի վայրից հայտնում է ֆոտոլրագրող Գագիկ Շամշյանը, վթարի հետևանքով ուղևոր՝ Արմավիրի մարզի բնակիչ 47-ամյա Բենիկ Ս․-ն տեղում մահացել է։

Դեպքի վայր են ժամանել ՀՀ Ներքին գործերի նախարարության Փրկարար ծառայության էջմիածնի հրշեջ-փրկարարական ջոկատից 1 մարտական հաշվարկ։ 

Հրշեջ-փրկարարները ավտոմեքենայից դուրս են բերել մահացածի դին, մոտեցրել օպերատիվորեն ժամանած դիատարին, ապա փակել Opel-ի գազաբալոնի փականն ու սահմանազատել տարածքը։

Մինչ հրշեջերի ժամանումը քաղաքացիների ուժերով ավտոմեքենայից դուրս է բերվել վարորդը, ով տեղափոխվել  է «Վաղարշապատ» բժշկական կենտրոն։

Դեպքի վայր են ժամանել ՀՀ ՆԳՆ Ոստիկանության Արմավիրի մարզային վարչության պետ Արթուր Բդոյանը, վարչության պետի օպերատիվ գծով տեղակալ Հովհաննես Արիստակեսյանն ու Ոստիկանության Վաղարշապատի բաժնի պետի ժամանակավոր պաշտոնակատար Գևորգ Միքայելյանը։ 

Վթարի մասին ՃՈ 1-77 օպերատիվ կառավարման կենտրոնի պատասխանատու հերթապահ Արայիկ Վերդյանը տեղեկությունը փոխանցել է Հայաստանի քննչական կոմիտեի Արմավիրի մարզային քննչական վարչության Վաղարշապատի քննչական բաժին, որտեղից ժամանել է քննչական խումբը՝ բաժնի պետ Դավիթ Բարոյանի և օրվա պատասխանատու հերթապահ ավագ քննիչի գլխավորությամբ։

Վթարի փաստով՝ քննչական բաժնում նախաձեռնվել է քրեական վարույթ։ 

Քննիչի հանձնարարականով՝ Opel-ը ավտոքարշակի միջոցով տեղափոխվել է Ոստիկանության Վաղարշապատի բաժնի պահպանվող հատուկ տարածք։
