Մեծ Բրիտանիայում Սաուդյան Արաբիայի դեսպան Խալիդ բեն Բանդար Ալ Սաուդը մեղադրել է Արևմուտքին երկակի ստանդարտների համար՝ ասելով, որ Իսրայելին թույլ է տրվում անել այն, ինչ մեկ այլ երկրի կարգելվեր: Նրա խոսքով՝ որքան երկար են գլխավոր միջազգային խաղացողներն աչք փակում Գազայի հատվածում Իսրայելի գործողությունների վրա, այնքան նրանք հետ են մղում տարածաշրջանում խաղաղության ցանկացած հնարավորություն:

Դեսպանի կարծիքով՝ պաղեստինցիները երբեք չեն հասնի արդարության, քանի դեռ աշխարհը չի սկսել արդարադատություն իրականացնել իսրայելցիների նկատմամբ։

Խալիդ բեն Բանդար Ալ Սաուդը հարցազրույց է տվել այն ժամանակ, երբ ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղար Էնթոնի Բլինքենը այցելում էր Մերձավոր Արևելքի երկրներ՝ հույս ունենալով երաշխիքներ ստանալ, որ տարածաշրջանի երկրները չեն միջամտի Իսրայելի պատերազմին ՀԱՄԱՍ-ի դեմ:

Հակամարտության ընդլայնումը Վաշինգտոնի գլխավոր մտահոգություններից է։ Բլինքենն արդեն այցելել է Կատար, ԱՄԷ, Սաուդյան Արաբիա և Հորդանան։ Նա այժմ Իսրայելում է, որից հետո կհանդիպի Պաղեստինի Ինքնավարության և Եգիպտոսի ղեկավարների հետ։

Մերձավոր Արևելքի երկրները սպասում են, որ Վաշինգտոնը ճնշում գործադրի Իսրայելի վրա՝ դադարեցնելու ռազմական գործողությունը Գազայի հատվածում։ Միացյալ Նահանգները, սակայն, բազմիցս աջակցություն է հայտնել Իսրայելին ինքնապաշտպանության իրավունքի հարցում: Բլինքենը վարչապետ Բենիամին Նեթանյահուի հետ քննարկել է ՀԱՄԱՍ-ի դեմ Իսրայելի պատերազմի հետագա փուլերը։ Ըստ նախնական տեղեկությունների՝ ռազմական արշավն ավարտելու մասին խոսք չի եղել։

Իսրայելական հրամանատարությունը խոսում է պատերազմի նոր փուլի մեկնարկի մասին, որը ենթադրում է ավելի կետային ցամաքային հարվածներ թիրախներին և թունելների ոչնչացում Գազայի հյուսիսում։

Իսրայելը ներկայացրել է տարածաշրջանի ապագայի իր տեսլականը: Երկրի պաշտպանության նախարար Գալանտի առաջարկած ծրագրի համաձայն՝ Գազայի հատվածը կկառավարեն պաղեստինցիները, սակայն Իսրայելը կպահպանի անվտանգության ոլորտը։

Փաստաթղթում նշված միակ երկիրը, որին Իսրայելը պատրաստ է ներգրավել Գազայի հատվածի ապագա սահմանային հսկողությանը, Եգիպտոսն է։
