Բիթլզ-ը բրիտանական աշխարհահռչակ ռոք-խումբ է՝ կազմավորված Լիվերպուլում, 1960 թվականին։ Խմբի անդամներն են Ջոն Լենոննը, Փոլ ՄաքՔարթնին, Ջորջ Հարիսոնը և Ռինգո Սթարը։ Կարճ ժամանակում Բիթլզը լայն ճանաչում ձեռք բերեց՝ դառնալով Մեծ Բրիտանիայի և ամբողջ աշխարհի կարևորագույն և ազդեցիկ երաժշտական խումբը։ Սկզբնավորվելով սքիֆֆլից, բիթից և 1950-ականների ռոքնռոլից՝ Բիթլզը հետագայում տարբեր երաժշտական ժանրեր փորձարկեց․ փոփ-բալլադներից և հնդակական երաժշտությունից մինչև փսիխոդելիկ ու ծանր ռոք՝ հաճախ նորարական եղանակներով ներմուծելով դասական և ոչ ավանդական երաժշտական տարրեր։ 1963 թվականին սկսվեց խմբի հսկայական տարածումը՝ «բիթլամանիան»։ Երգահաններ Լենոնի և ՄաքՔարթնիի գլխավորությամբ խմբի երաժշտությունը աճեց, զարգացավ և դարձավ փոփ երաժշտության էվոլյուցիայի և 1960-ականների հակամշակութային զարգացման անբաժանելի մասը[2]։ Քանի որ խմբի անդամները շարունակում էին ազդեցություններ կրել զանազան մշակութային աղբյուրներից, նրանց երաժշտական և լիրիկական կենսափորձը աճեց, և նրանց ընդունում էին որպես դարի հասարակամշակութային շարժման մարմնացումներ։

Բիթլզն իր հեղինակությունը ստեղծեց 1960 թվականից սկսած՝ երեք տարի շարունակ Լիվերպուլի և Համբուրգի ակումբներում ելույթներ ունենալով։ Այդ ժամանակ խմբի բաս-կիթառահարը Սթյուարթ Սաթքլիֆն էր։

Ողջ աշխարհում շուրջ 800 միլիոն ֆիզիկական և թվային ալբոմների վաճառքով Բիթլզը պատմության մեջ լավագույն վաճառք ապահոված երաժշտական խումբն է։ Այն ավելի շատ է գլխավորել բրիտանական չարտերը և Անգլիայում ավելի շատ սինգլներ վաճառել, քան մեկ այլ արտիստ։ Բիթլզի անդամները նաև ԱՄՆ-ի լավագույն վաճառք ունեցող արտիստներն են՝ 178 միլիոն սերտիֆիկացված միավորներով։ 2008 թվականին խումբը գլխավորեց Բիլբորդ ամսագրի՝ բոլոր ժամանակների ամենահաջողակ արտիստների ցուցակը։ Իսկ 2017 թվականից ի վեր, Բիթլզը Hot 100 չարտի ռեկորդակիր է՝ ամենաշատ առաջին հորիզոնականը զբաղեցրած հիթերով (20 սինգլ)։ Խումբը ստացել է յոթ Գրեմմի մրցանակ, մեկ Academy մրցանակ՝ Լավագույն օրիգինալ երգի համար, և տասնհինգ Ivor Novello մրցանակ։ 1988 թվականին խումբը ներառվել է Ռոքնռոլի Փառքի սրահում, իսկ 1994-2015 թվականներին խմբի անդամներն անհատական աստղեր են ստացել։ Նրանք նաև միասին ընդգրկվել են Թայմս ամսագրի՝ 20-րդ դարի 100 ամենաազդեցիկ մարդկանց ցուցակում։
