Հայ-ռուսական քաղաքական դիմակայությունն առաջիկայում կարող է վերածվել տնտեսական լուրջ խնդիրների։
Հայաստանն իր տնտեսության գրեթե բոլոր ճյուղերով, աննշան բացառությամբ, կապված է ռուսական շուկայից, և զարմանալիորեն վերջին տարիներին այդ կախվածությունն ընդհանուր ԵԱՏՄ շուկայից ավելի է մեծացել, թեպետ Հայաստանի գործող իշխանությունները հայտարարում են արտաքին քաղաքական վեկտորը փոխելու իրենց տրամադրությունների, անվտանգային և այլ միջավայրերը դիվերսիֆիկացնելու մասին։

Հայկական արտադրանքը, ծառայությունները, ավանդաբար շատ ավելի ճանաչելի և հայտնի են հենց Ռուսաստանում, որտեղ սիրում և գնահատում են հայկական կոնյակը, գինին, գյուղատնտեսական արտադրանքը, անգամ խորհրդային տարիներին չափազանց հարգի էր հայկական կոշիկը։ Օրինակները կարող ենք բազմաթիվ թվել, բայց դրանից իրականում ոչինչ չի փոխվում։ Այդ նույն ապրանքներն ու ծառայությունները, որ արտադրվում են Հայաստանում, եվրոպացուն առանձնապես հետաքրքիր չեն, լավագույն դեպքում տարեկան մի քանի հազար եվրոպացի զբոսաշրջիկներ կարող են այցելել Հայաստան, պտտվել, ծանոթանալ հայկական ապրանքների, հայկական կերակուրների հետ և հետ վերադառնալ իրենց հայրենիքները, հաջորդ տարի մեկ այլ մայրցամաք մեկնելու նպատակադրումով։

Փաստացի, այն ինչ այսօր անում է գործող իշխանությունները, հարվածելու է ոչ միայն պետության քաղաքական վարքին և հեղինակությանը, այլ նաև տնտեսությանը։

Արտաքին քաղաքական վեկտորը, ինչպես մի առիթով նշել է «Համահայկական ճակատ» շարժման առաջնորդ, պաշտպանության նախկին նախարար Արշակ Կարապետյանը, միայն մեկ բաղադրիչով չի որոշվում, վեկտորը փոխելու համար հարկավոր է փոխել բոլոր բաղադրիչները՝ այդ թվում տնտեսական, անվտանգային, քաղաքական և այլն, իսկ Ռուսաստանի հետ խնդիրներ հարուցելու Հայաստանի իշխանությունների քայլերն առաջին և ամենակարևոր հետևանքը, որ կարող են ունենալ, գազի և վառելիքի գների թանկացումը կլինի, ինչը զուգահեռ կխփի տնտեսության բոլոր ճյուղերին։ Նման քաղաքականության հետևանքով տարիներով Հայաստանի տնտեսությունը բախվելու է լուրջ խնդիրների, հանգեցնելու գործազրկության և որպես հետևանք՝ մեծ արտագաղթի, ինչը ծանր հետևանքներ կունենա Հայաստանի համար։ Առանց այն էլ պատերազմում կրած պարտությունից հետո մեր երկիրը վերականգնման շատ քիչ ռեսուրսներ ունի, իսկ ժամանակ ընդհանրապես չունի, և գործող իշխանությունների այս քաղաքականությունը կարող է մի քանի տարով կամ անգամ տասնամյակներով հետ շպրտել մեր երկիրը։
