Հարավային Կովկասում Եվրամիության հատուկ ներկայացուցիչ Տոյվո Կլաարը ադրբեջանական լրատվամիջոցների հետ հարցազրույցում անդրադարձել է Ադրբեջանի և Հայաստանի միջև խաղաղ գործընթացին:

Նա նշել է, որ պարբերաբար այցելում է Հայաստան և Ադրբեջան, ղեկավարների և մյուս պաշտոնյաների հետ, կարծիքներ փոխանակում այն ​​մասին, թե ինչպես լավագույնս օգտագործել հնարավորությունները՝  նպաստելու տարածաշրջանում խաղաղության ամրապնդմանը, ինչը նշանակում է ԵՄ բարձր մակարդակի աջակցություն՝ Հայաստանի ու Ադրբեջանի միջև հարաբերությունների կարգավորմանը։

«Թեև միջազգային մասնակցությունը խաղաղության բանակցություններին վերջին ամիսներին ավելի սահմանափակ է եղել, քան նախորդ երկու տարում, մենք ուրախ ենք արձանագրել հայ-ադրբեջանական երկկողմ հանդիպումների ընթացքում գրանցված առաջընթացը»,- ասել է Կլաարը:

Նա նշել է, որ Եվրամիությունը ողջունել և գնահատել է այնպիսի դրական զարգացումներ, ինչպիսիք են 2023 թվականի դեկտեմբերի 7-ի համատեղ հայտարարությունը COP29-ի և բանտարկյալների ազատ արձակման վերաբերյալ, 2024 թվականի ապրիլի 19-ին սահմանների սահմանազատումը սկսելու մասին համաձայնագիրը, որը վերահաստատել է 1991 թվականի Ալմա Աթայի հռչակագրի կարևորությունը՝ որպես հիմք սահմանների սահմանազատման և սահմանագծման հետագա աշխատանքների համար:

ԵՄ հատուկ ներկայացուցիչը  վստահություն է հայտնել, որ Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև խաղաղության պայմանագրի ստորագրումը հսկայական ազդեցություն կունենա երկու երկրի և ամբողջ տարածաշրջանի վրա։ Այն բոլորովին նոր իրավիճակ կստեղծի, որտեղ ավտոմատ կերպով կմեծանան առևտրատնտեսական փոխգործակցության հնարավորությունները։

«Դա կազդի նաև տարածաշրջանում ԵՄ աշխատանքի վրա, քանի որ Եվրամիությանը թույլ կտա ավելի լայն տարածաշրջանային համագործակցություն ծավալել Հարավային Կովկասի բոլոր երեք երկրների մասնակցությամբ»,-ասել է Կլաարը և հավելել.

«Ինչպես բազմիցս ասվել է, ԵՄ-ն պատրաստ է աջակցել տարածաշրջանում խաղաղությանը բոլոր ոլորտներում տարբեր միջոցով՝ հատկապես կենտրոնանալով տարածաշրջանային կապի և տրանսպորտի վրա՝ կախված կողմերի միջև պայմանավորվածություններից»:
