Ռուսաստանի Դաշնությունը կոչ է անում Բաքվին և Երևանին էսկալացիայից խուսափելու համար ցուցաբերել զգուշություն, խուսափել ռազմական հռետորաբանությունից, կենտրոնացնել ջանքերը՝ գտնելու փոխընդունելի լուծումներ, որոնք կնպաստեն տարածաշրջանում կայուն խաղաղության հաստատմանն ու զարգացմանը։ 

Այս մասին՝ հուլիսի 31-ին կայացած մամուլի ասուլիսի ժամանակ հայտարարել է ՌԴ ԱԳՆ տեղեկատվության և մամուլի դեպարտամենտի փոխտնօրեն Անդրեյ Նաստասինը՝ ընդգծելով, որ ՌԴ-ն հանդես է գալիս Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջեւ բոլոր վիճահարույց հարցերի շտկման տեսանկյունից՝ բացառապես քաղաքական-դիվանագիտական ճանապարհով։

Պաշտոնյան նշել է նաև, որ դրան հասնելու համար  ճանապարհային քարտեզ է համարվում եռակողմ ձեւաչափի վերագործարկումը՝ Հայաստանի, Ռուսաստանի և Ադրբեջանի ղեկավարների մասնակցությամբ։  

Անդրադառնալով հայերի՝ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղ վերադարձին վերաբերող հարցին՝ ռուս պաշտոնյան նշել է՝ քանի որ հայ-ադրբեջանական հակամարտությունը կրում է ձգձգված բնույթ, երկարամյա դիմադրության արդյունքում երկու կողմերից էլ հազարավոր փախստականներ ու տեղահանվածներ կան։  

«Ռուսաստանը հետևողականորեն հանդես է գալիս երկու երկրների միջև ամուր խաղաղության հաստատման համար։ Եռակողմ պայմանավորվածությունները հենց այդ միտումն ունեն՝ նախատեսում են փուլային լուծում առավել բարդ խնդիրների, այդ թվում՝ սոցիալ-հումանիտար ուղղվածության, երկխոսության գործարկում քաղաքացիական հասարակությունների միջև։ Խոսքը միայն փախստականների մասին չէ, այլև հուշակոթողների ավերումը թույլ չտալու»,- ասել է Նաստասինը։
