Հուսով եմ, որ Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի քաղաքական կամքի և շարունակական ջանքերի շնորհիվ թշնամության և բռնության էջը այժմ վերջնականապես կարող է շրջվել՝ ի շահ տարածաշրջանի բոլոր ժողովուրդների։ Այս մասին հայտարարել է Հարավային Կովկասում ԵՄ ներկայացուցիչ Տոյվո Կլաարը jam-news.net-ին տված հարցազրույցում:«Որքան գիտեմ, խաղաղության պայմանագրի նախագծի մեծ մասն արդեն համաձայնեցված է։ Ինձ թվում է, որ միակ բանը, որ պակասում է, քաղաքական կամքն է, որն անհրաժեշտ է վերջնագծին հասնելու համար։ Մենք համոզված ենք, որ մնացած հարցերի և ձևակերպումների վերաբերյալ վերջնական համաձայնությունը հասանելի է: Խաղաղության պայմանագիրը և դրա հետագա կյանքի կոչումը հիմնովին կփոխեն իրավիճակը տարածաշրջանում։ Կարծում եմ, որ առաջնորդները նույնպես կիսում են այս տեսակետը և կձեռնարկեն բոլոր ջանքերը, որոնք անհրաժեշտ են այդ հարցում վերջնական համաձայնության հասնելու համար»,- ասել է Կլաարը:

Միևնույն ժամանակ նա ընդգծել է, որ Մեծ Բրիտանիայում վերջերս կայացած Եվրոպական քաղաքական համայնքի գագաթնաժողովի ժամանակ ՀՀ վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի և Ադրբեջանի նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիևի չհանդիպելու փաստը ցույց տվեց, թե որքան փխրուն է գործընթացը:
