Ճապոնիայում ԱՄՆ դեսպան Ռահմ Էմանուելը չի մասնակցի Նագասակիում 1945-ին միջուկային ռմբակոծության զոհերի հիշատակին նվիրված ամենամյա արարողությանը. պատճառն Իսրայելի դեսպանի բացառումն է արարողության հյուրերի ցանկից, գրում է CNN-ը:

Այս տարվա արարողությունը կկայանա ուրբաթ, Նագասակիի խաղաղության այգում, որտեղ աշխարհի ավելի քան 100 երկրից դիվանագետներ մեկ րոպե լռությամբ կհարգեն Երկրորդ աշխարհամարտի տարիներին ԱՄՆ-ի կողմից Ճապոնիայի վրա միջուկային ռումբ նետելու հետևանքով զոհերի հիշատակը:

Նագասակիի քաղաքապետ Շիրո Սուզուկին անցյալ շաբաթ լրագրողներին ասել էր, որ Իսրայելի դեսպանի մասնակցությունը կբացառվի անվտանգության նկատառումներից ելնելով՝ չնայած արևմտյան երկրների նախազգուշացումներին առ այն, որ Իսրայելի դեսպանի չմասնակցելը կարող է հետևանքներ ունենալ իրենց դեսպանների մասնակցության վրա:

«Եթե Իսրայելը չմասնակցի, մեզ համար դժվար կլինի բարձր մակարդակի մասնակցություն ունենալ այս միջոցառմանը», - ասվում է հուլիսի 19-ին քաղաքապետին ուղղված նամակում, որը ստորագրել են Ֆրանսիայի, Գերմանիայի, Իտալիայի և ԱՄՆ-ի դեսպանները, ինչպես նաև Կանադայի, Միացյալ Թագավորության և Եվրամիության գործերի ժամանակավոր հավատարմատարները:

Մեծ Բրիտանիան, Գերմանիան և Իտալիան նույնպես չեն ուղարկի իրենց դեսպաններին Նագասակի, հինգշաբթի CNN-ին հայտնել են այդ երկրի դեսպանատները:

Իսրայելի դեսպան Գիլադ Կոհենը Նագասակիի քաղաքապետին մեղադրել է անվտանգության մտավախություններ «հորինելու» և «քաղաքական դրդապատճառներով առաջնորդվելու» համար։
