Օգոստոսի 5-ին Արիզոնա նահանգի Solestial ընկերությունը հայտարարել է շվեյցարական Meyer Burger Technology ընկերության հետ ռազմավարական համագործակցության մասին, որպեսզի զգալիորեն ընդլայնի իր սիլիցիումային արևային տեխնոլոգիաների արտադրությունը, որոնք նախատեսված են տիեզերքում երկարաժամկետ օգտագործման համար: Այդ համագործակցությունը նպատակ ունի հեղափոխել տիեզերական արևային էներգիան աննախադեպ մասշտաբներով ծայրահեղ բարակ, հուսալի և ճառագայթմանը դիմացկուն արևային բջիջներ և մոդուլներ արտադրելով, գրում է ixbt.com-ը:

Solestial-ը հայտնի է ճառագայթման դիմացկուն արևային բջիջների և ճկուն արևային մոդուլների արտադրությամբ, որոնք նախատեսված են տիեզերական առաքելությունների համար: Meyer Burger-ի հետ համագործակցության միջոցով ընկերությունը նախատեսում է մինչև 2025 թվականի կեսերն ավելացնել արևային բջիջների արտադրությունը տարեկան մինչև 1 մեգավատ, ինչը զգալի ցատկ է իր ներկայիս արտադրության մակարդակից, որը տարեկան 100 կՎտ-ից էլ պակաս է: Համեմատության համար նշենք, որ հատուկ տիեզերական արևային զանգվածների համաշխարհային արտադրական հզորությունն այսօր 2 մեգավատից էլ պակաս է:

Solestial-ի գլխավոր գործառնական տնօրեն Էնդի Աթերթոնն ընդգծել է այդ համագործակցության կարևորությունն ասելով, որ այն զգալի գլոբալ մասշտաբ կհաղորդի տիեզերական արևային բջիջների արտադրությանը: Solestial-ն օգտագործում է արևային բջիջների եզակի տեխնոլոգիա, որն օգտագործում է արևի լույսը ճառագայթային վնասը նվազեցնելու (կամ բուժելու) համար:

Համագործակցության պայմանների համաձայն Solestial-ը կկիսվի Meyer Burger-ի հետ արևային մարտկոցների սեփական տեխնոլոգիայով: Իր հերթին, Meyer Burger-ը կարտադրի արևային բջիջներ իր գերմանական գործարանում և դրանք կուղարկի Solestial մետաղացման, հարդարման և ճկուն արևային մոդուլների մեջ ինտեգրվելու համար: Meyer Burger-ի գործադիր տնօրեն Գյունտեր Էրֆուրտը նշել է, որ համագործակցությունը թույլ կտա ընկերությանը մտնել այն շուկաներ, որտեղ պահանջարկ ունեն իրենց սեփական տեխնոլոգիաները:
