Ազգային ժողովը սեպտեմբերի 10-ին հավանություն է տվել «Միջազգային արևային դաշինքի հիմնադրամի մասին» շրջանակային համաձայնագիրը վավերացնելու մասին օրենքի նախագծին: Ըստ մասնագետների, Հայաստանի վերականգնվող էներգետիկայի ոլորտի զարգացման գործում կարևոր ներդրում կարող է ունենալ Հայաստանի անդամակցությունը Միջազգային արևային դաշինքին: Հայաստանը կարող է դառնալ 98-րդ երկիրը, որը վավերացրել է շրջանակային համաձայնագիրը։

Միջազգային արևային դաշինքը ստեղծվել է Հնդկաստանի և Ֆրանսիայի համատեղ ջանքերի շնորհիվ՝ համատեղ աշխատելու կլիմայի փոփոխության դեմ պայքարի և արևային էներգիայի ռեսուրսների լայն օգտագործման համար: Դաշինքի հայեցակարգը մշակվել է 2015 թվականին։ Դաշինքի ղեկավար մարմինը վեհաժողովն է, որը գումարվում է տարեկան մեկ անգամ՝ անդամ պետությունների համապատասխան ոլորտների նախարարների մակարդակով։

Դաշինքի խնդիրն է մշակել արևային էներգիայի կանոններ, կանոնակարգեր և ստանդարտներ' ապահովելու համար, որ այն արագ և զանգվածային օգտագործվի այն երկրներում, որտեղ առկա են արևային հարուստ ռեսուրսներ, բայց որտեղ ռիսկերը դեռ բարձր են համարվում:

Դաշինքի նպատակն է նպաստել ավելի քան 1000 ԳՎտ լրացուցիչ հզորության տեղադրմանը մինչև 2030 թվականը՝ նույն ժամանակահատվածում նախատեսված 1000 միլիարդ դոլար ենթադրյալ ֆինանսավորմամբ:

Հայաստանում արևային վահանակներ արտադրող մեկ ընկերություն կա՝ «Սոլարոնը»։
