Սիրիայի Հալեպ քաղաքում իրավիճակը կտրուկ սրվել է, իսկ ՀՀ իշխանությունները ոչինչ չեն ձեռնարկում սիրիահայերի անվտանգությունն ապահովելու, նրանց Հալեպից և հարակից շրջաններից դուրս բերելու համար։ Սիրիայից հնչող հայտարարությունների համաձայն, Հալեպի հայ համայնքում այս պահին վիրավորներ կամ զոհեր չկան: Հայ պատգամավոր Մարիա Գաբրիելյանի փոխանցմամբ, երեկ երեկոյան Հալեպում ամայություն էր: Հայ համայնքից ոմանք լքել են քաղաքը, քանի որ վտանգավոր է, վախենում են։

Լայնածավալ հարձակում սկսած հակակառավարական զինված խմբավորումները հասել են Հալեպի արվարձաններ և առաջանում են դեպի քաղաքի կենտրոն՝ գրավելով մոտ 400 քառակուսի կիլոմետր տարածք Հալեպ և Իդլիբ նահանգներում։ Ռազմական գործողություններն իրականացնում են Թուրքիայի աջակցությունը վայելող զինյալները՝ «Հայաթ Թահրիր աշ-Շամ» խմբավորման առաջնորդությամբ:

Հարձակման մասին տեղեկություններն արդեն մի քանի օր է՝ շրջանառվում էին, բայց ՀՀ իշխանությունները հարկ չեն համարել ինքնաթիռ ուղարկել, կամ օգնել տարհանման հարցում: Միայն Պաշտպանության նախարարությունը երեկոյան ռազմատրանսպորտային ինքնաթիռով Հալեպից Հայաստան է տեղափոխել Սիրիայի Հալեպում առաքելություն իրականացնող Հայաստանի հումանիտար ականազերծման և բուժաշխատողների ողջ անձնակազմը, հաշվի առնելով տեղում ստեղծված իրավիճակը, որոշում է կայացվել ժամանակավորապես կասեցնել խմբի գործունեությունը Հալեպում։ Հայաստանի մասնագիտական խումբն իր առաքելությունը Սիրիայի երկրորդ խոշորագույն քաղաքում իրականացնում է 2019 թվականից։

Հալեպը Մերձավոր Արևելքի ամենահայաշատ քաղաքներից էր, Սիրիայում մարտերը սկսելուց հետո շատերը հեռացել էին, բայց որոշ, ըստ տեղից ստացվող տեղեկությունների, մեծ խումբ հայեր դեռ շարունակում էին ապրել Հալեպում։ Եվ այժմ նրանց իրական վտանգ է սպառնում։
