Հայաստանի ու Միացյալ Նահանգների արտաքին գերատեսչությունների ղեկավարները Վաշինգտոնում ստորագրել են ռազմավարական գործընկերության մասին կանոնադրությունը։ Ստորագրման արարողությունից առաջ թե՛ Արարատ Միրզոյանը, թե՛ Էնթոնի Բլինքենը ելույթ են ունեցել մամուլի համար, հայտարարել, թե ՀՀ-ն և ԱՄՆ-ը համագործակցելու են տարբեր ոլորտներում՝ այդ թվում՝ անվտանգության և պաշտպանության։

Հայտարարությունների մեջ ուշագրավ և վտանգավոր մի կետ կա, որն արդեն հասցրել է արժանանալ բազմաթիվ փորձագետների տարակուսանքին։ Արարատ Միրզոյանն իր խոսքում նշել է, թե Հայաստանը միանալու է «Իսլամական պետության» դեմ կոալիցիային։ «Հայաստանը մտադիր է միանալ «Իսլամական պետությանը պարտության մատնելու գլոբալ կոալիցիային»՝ հավելյալ ընդգծելով մեր նվիրվածությունը միջազգային ահաբեկչության դեմ պայքարին: Մենք հավատում ենք, որ համատեղ գործողություններն էական նշանակություն ունեն այս սպառնալիքը հասցեագրելու գործում»,- ասել է նա։

Պետքարտուղար Բլինքենն իր հերթին նկատել է, թե միտված են ամրապնդելու ՀՀ ինքնավարության պաշտպանությունն իր համապատասխան տարածքում։ «Մեծ ուրախությամբ հայտնում եմ, որ Հայաստանը միանում է իսլամական պետությանը պարտության մատնելու գլոբալ կոալիցիային, ինչը նպաստում է Միջին Արևելքում կայունության ապահովմանը և նրա սահմաններից դուրս։ Մենք մեծապես գնահատում ենք այս հանձնառությունը ՀՀ-ի կողմից»,- ասել է Բլինքենը։

Ահաբեկիչներով վխտացող տարածաշրջանում Հայաստանին մինչ օրս հաջողվել է թույլ չտալ իսլամիստների գործողություններ մեր երկրի տարածքում։ Իսկ նման կոալիցիայի միանալն ու այդ մասին բացեիբաց հայտարարելը կարող է ՀՀ տարածքը թիրախ դարձնել տարատեսակ իսլամիստ ահաբեկիչների համար։ Միջազգայնագետ Սուրեն Սարգսյանի գնահատականով, չարժե անհանգստանալ, որ Հայաստանը միանում է «Իսլամական պետությանը» պարտության մատնելու կոալիցիային: «Մի հատ էլ կրոնական ազատության ալիանսի 2020 թ. միացանք ու բացարձակապես ոչինչ դրան չտվեցինք ու չստացանք: Միևնույնն է ոչինչ չենք կարողանում կապիտալիզացնել»,- նշել է Սարգսյանը:
