Власти Германии по-прежнему намерены развернуть на территории страны дальнобойные ракеты США. Об этом заявили «Известиям» в посольстве ФРГ в Москве.

«В Германии по-прежнему рассчитывают на размещение американских дальнобойных ракет в 2026 году. Это решение, принятое Берлином и Вашингтоном в июле 2024-го, соответствует логике стратегии национальной безопасности от октября 2023 года», - сообщили в посольстве.

10 июля 2024 года пресс-служба Белого дома сообщила, что США начнут размещать с 2026 года на территории Германии новые средства огневого поражения большей дальности, чем развернутые в настоящее время где бы то ни было в Европе. Посол РФ в Вашингтоне Анатолий Антонов (завершил миссию в октябре 2024 года) заявлял, что эти планы повышают вероятность гонки ракетных вооружений и могут привести к неконтролируемой эскалации.
