Գերիների վերադարձի հետ կապված ես նոր բան չունեմ ասելու, այն նույն գործիքակազմերը, որ նախկինում կիրառել ենք, հիմա էլ ենք կիրառում, ապագայում էլ ենք կիրառելու. դա շատ կարևոր հարց է, որը մեզ անհանգստացնում է, որպես հումանիտար, քաղաքական, որպես կարևոր թեմա տարածաշրջանում կայունություն ու խաղաղություն հաստատելու վերաբերյալ: Այս մասին Կառավարության հետ հարցուպատասխանի ժամին ԱԺ-ում հայտարարեց ՀՀ վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը՝ ի պատասխան «Հայաստան» խմբակցության պատգամավոր Լիլիթ Գալստյանի:

Գալստյանն արձագանքեց՝ նշելով, որ Փաշինյանը հրաժարվում է բոլոր գործիքներից, օրինակ միջազգային ատյաններից հայցերի հետ վերցնելը, որոնք մեզ ուժեղացնում են, հետո ասում է, թե ոչինչ չի զիջում:

«Հայցերի հետ վերցման պահըն ուժի մեջ է մտնում համաձայնագիրը ստորագրելուց և ուժի մեջ մտնելուց հետո: Այդ հայցերը հետ վերցնելը վերաբերում է ոչ միայն Հայաստանին, այլ նաև Ադրբեջանին, այդ հայցերը հետ վերցնելու արդյունքում որքան Հայաստանն է թուլանալու, այնքան թուլանելու է Ադրբեջանը»,- ասաց Փաշինյանը:

Վարչապետը հարց բարձրացրեց՝ ՀՀ-ն, Հայաստանի ժողովուրդը ուզո՞ւմ է շարունակել Ղարաբաղյան շարժումը, թե չի ուզում շարունակել: «Ես ազնիվ գտնված չեմ լինի, եթե շատ ուղիղ այս ամբիոնից իմ կարծիքը չասեմ այն արձանագարումից հետո, որոնք նախկինում արել եմ հենց այս ամբիոնից՝ կառավարության զեկույցների քննարկման ժամանակ՝ ասելով, թե ինչպես է օգտագործվել Ղարաբաղյան շարժումը Հայաստանի պետականության չկայացման ճանապարհին:

Առանց սեթևեթանքի ուզում եմ վստահ ու աներկբա ասել՝ ես կարծում եմ, որ մենք Ղարաբաղյան շարժումը չպետք է շարունակենք: Այն խաղաղությունը, որի ճանապարհով մենք գնում ենք գերիների հարցի լուծման ամենաէֆեկտիվ ճանապարհն է, պարզապես ավելի էֆեկտիվ ճանապարհ չունի և մեր ընկալումը համապարփակ է և ամբողջական»,- հայտարարեց Փաշինյանը:
