2025 թվականի մայիսի 24-ին Արարատ Պետրոսյանի (ararathau ) տելեգրամյան ալիքի հայտարարությունից պարզ դարձավ, որ Արցախի՝ Ադրբեջանի վերահսկողության տակ գտնվող Մարտունու շրջանի Եմիշճան գյուղում ավերվել է Հայրենական մեծ պատերազմին նվիրված հուշարձանը: Այս մասին գրում է  monumentwatch.org կայքը:

Կարևոր է արձանագրել, որ վերջին շրջանում Մայիսի 9-ին` Հայրենական Մեծ պատերազմի 80-ամյակին ընդառաջ և դրանից հետո հատկապես ակտիվացել են Հայրենական Մեծ պատերազմին նվիրված հուշարձանների ոչնչացման դեպքերը։  Իսկ վերջին 5 տարիների ընթացքում արդեն իսկ ոչնչացվել են բազմաթիվ նմանատիպ հուշարձաններ Շուշիում, Հադրութում, Ազոխում, Մեծ Թաղերում և այլուր։ 

Մարտունու շրջանի Եմիշճան գյուղի Հայրենական Մեծ պատերազմին նվիրված հուշարձանի ոչնչացումը  «Զինված հակամարտությունների ժամանակ մշակութային արժեքների պաշտպանության մասին» Հաագայի 1954 թ. կոնվենցիայի 4-րդ հոդվածի և լրացուցիչ՝ 1999 թ. ընդունվածԵրկրորդարձանագրությանխախտումէ։

Հուշարձանի ոչնչացումը նաև խախտում է Միջազգային մարդասիրական իրավունքի  38-րդ, 39-րդ, 40-րդև  41-րդ կանոնները։ Հույժ կարևոր է ընդգծել այն հանգամանքը, որ  Արդարադատության միջազգային դատարանը հաստատել է, որ օկուպացված տարածքներում գործող օրենքները՝ ներառյալ մշակութային արժեքների պաշտպանության դրույթները,  ձեռք են բերել միջազգային սովորութային իրավունքի (infra Jurisprudence) կարգավիճակ, այսինքն գործում են որպես համընդհանուր և անշրջանցելի կանոն և պարտադիր են  բոլոր պետությունների համար։

Կարևոր է արձանագրել, որ ՅՈՒՆԵՍԿՕ-ի Փարիզում տեղի ունեցած 33-րդ նստաշրջանի Գլխավոր կոնֆերանսի կողմից 2003 թ. ընդունված «Մշակութային ժառանգության դիտավորյալ ոչնչացման մասին հռչակագիրը արգելում է ժառանգության դիտավորյալ ոչնչացումը։ 

Հայրենական Մեծ պատերազմին նվիրված հուշարձանների ոչնչացման այլ դեպքերի մասին կարող եք ծանոթանալ մեր կայքի այլ հրապարակումներում․ Ոչնչացված են Շուշիում գտնվող հայրենական մեծ պատերազմի և Արցախյան ազատամարտին նվիրված հուշարձանը, Հադրութի և Արցախի Հակակու գյուղի զոհվածների հիշատակին նվիրված համալիրը։ Ավերված են նաև  Գետավանի հուշարձանը, Ազատամարտիկների միության շենքը։ Ադրբեջանցիներն ավերել են Արցախի Հադրութի շրջանի Ուխտաձոր գյուղի՝ Արցախյան ազատամարտին նվիրված հուշարձանը և խաչքարը։ Ոչնչացվել են նաև Հայրենական Մեծ պատերազմի հերոսների հուշարձանները, այդ թվում  Հադրութի շրջանի Մեծ Թաղեր գյուղում ԽՍՀՄ ավիացիայի մարշալ, ծնունդով արցախցի Արմենակ Խանփերյանցի (Սերգեյ Խուդյակով) կիսանդրին և «ՄԻԳ-17» կործանիչը, Ստեփանակերտում Խորհրդային Միության նավատորմի հայազգի ծովակալ, Սովետական Միության հերոս, ռազմական տեսաբան, ադմիրալ Իվան Իսակովի կիսանդրին։
