Մհեր Ավետիսյանը ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրել է․ 

Քաղաքական պայքարում իշխանությունը պահելու կամ իշխանության ձգտելու համար առնվազն կա երկու կարևոր կարմիր գիծ, որոնք չի կարելի հատել։
 
Առաջինը ինձ համար մեր երկրի միջազգային հեղինակությունն է. ո՛չ իշխանությունը, ո՛չ ընդդիմությունը իրավունք չունեն անելու քայլեր, որի արդյունքում մեր ժողովուրդը խայտառակ կլինի ողջ աշխարհի աչքի առջև և կտուժի մեր պետականության հեղինակությունը։
 
 Երկրորդը՝ մեր երկրի անվտանգությունն է. մենք չենք կարող անել քայլեր ներքաղաքական պայքարում, որոնք կարող են վտանգել երկրի անվտանգությունը։
 
Եվ առհասարակ, ես մտածում եմ, որ երբ երկիրն ունի արտաքին վտանգ, երբ երկրի անվտանգության խնդիրը լուծված չէ, ներսում քաղաքական օրակարգերը պետք է ձևավորել շատ զգուշավոր՝ առաջին հերթին մտածելով պետականության հարատևության խնդրի լուծման մասին։ Այս իմաստով դարձյալ ուզում եմ, սիրելի ժողովուրդ, ընդգծել, որ մեր հարևան Ադրբեջանը ոչ միայն շարունակում է զինվել ու զորավարժություններ իրականացնել, այլև՝ հետևողականորեն խոսում է «Արևմտյան Ադրբեջան» կեղծ տերմինի մասին և փորձում այն միջազգայնացնել։ Տերմինի օգտագործումն այնքան է ակտիվացել, որ արդեն խոսում են ոչ միայն իմ նման մտածող մարդիկ, այլև Հայաստանի արտաքին գործերի նախարարությունը՝ ընդ որում՝ օֆիցիալ։ Սա նշանակում է, որ մենք բոլոր տարաձայնություններն ու խնդիրները պետք է թողնենք մի կողմ և լուծենք Հայաստանի անվտանգության ճարտարապետության խնդիրը։
 
 Պարտավոր ենք գտնել «Արևմտյան Ադրբեջան» ֆեյք թեզի հակաթույնը՝ այն գաղափարը, տեսակետն ու քաղաքական ձևակերպումը, որով կկարողանանք ապացուցել և՛ մեզ, և՛ Ադրբեջանին, և՛ ողջ աշխարհին, որ «Արևմտյան Ադրբեջանը» հորինվածք է և իրավունք չունի գոյություն ունենալու։ Եվ սա իսկապես քաղաքական ու գեոպոլիտիկ խնդիր է. միայն ուժեղ բանակ ունենալով այն լուծել չենք կարող, այն նախ և առաջ պետք է լուծենք գաղափարական, քաղաքական ու գեոպոլիտիկ ընկալումների դաշտում։
 
 Սիրելի ժողովուրդ, մենք իսկապես պետք է հասկանանք, որ երբ երկիրն արտաքին անվտանգության խնդիր ունի, չենք կարող ներսում քաղաքական խրամատներ ունենալ, չենք կարող իշխանությունը պահելու կամ վերցնելու ճանապարհին թշնամանալ այն աստիճան, որ մոռանանք՝ ընդհանուր թշնամին առանց թաքցնելու, բացեիբաց հավակնում է մեր պետականությունը կործանելու ու Հայաստանը գրավելու։
 
Խնդրում եմ Աստծուն, մեզ՝ հայերին, տա այդքան ուժ և միտք։
