Դեպի միահեծան բռնապետություն սլացող Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը, ընդդիմադիր քաղաքական գործիչների դեմ քրեական վարույթներ հարուցելով, խորհրդարանում էլ ծեծուջարդ սադրելով, շատ ավելի հեռահար նպատակներ ունի, քան կարող է թվալ առաջին հայացքից։ Փաշինյանն ավելի երկարաժամկետ խնդիր է փորձում լուծել ընդդիմադիր քաղաքական կուսակցությունների դեմ հետապնդումներով։

ՔՊ մեր աղբյուրների փոխանցմամբ, ընդհուպ քննարկվում է ընդդիմադիր որոշ քաղաքական կուսակցություններ փակելու հարցը։ Նույնիսկ, եթե ընդդիմադիր կուսակցությունները խորհրդարանում չեն, այդուհանդերձ, բավականին լուրջ գլխացավանք կարող են ցանկացած պահի դառնալ Փաշինյանի համար։ Իսկ դրանք փակելով, կուսակցությունների ղեկավարներին ու ազդեցիկ գործիչներին էլ ահաբեկչի պիտակ դրոշմելով, Փաշինյանը շատ ավելի երկարաժամկետ հարց է լուծում։

Մասնավորապես, թիրախում են գտնվում առաջին հերթին ՀՅԴ-ն և ՀՀԿ-ն, որոնց ամեն կերպ գործող իշխանությունները փորձում են ներքաշել տարաբնույթ սադրանքների մեջ։ Բայց միայն այս երկու ուժերը չեն։ Արտախորհրդարանական բազմաթիվ այլ, արմատական տրամադրված քաղաքական կուսակցություններ ևս գործող իշխանությունների թիրախում են։ Ընդհուպ Փաշինյանն իրավական հիմքեր է փորձում ստեղծել կուսակցությունների փակումն արդարացնելու համար և այժմ մեթոդներ են մշակում, թե ինչպես կարող են դա անել։
