Երևանի կենտրոնում իր սեփականությունը խլելու մասին որոշումը Արա Աբրահամյանը, ռուսական ՏԱՍՍ գործակալությանը տված հարցազրույցում, որակել է որպես քաղաքական պատվեր:

«Հայաստանի հակակոռուպցիոն դատարանի որոշումն օրինաչափ չէ և քաղաքական պատվերի բնույթ է կրում: Այդ հողատարածքը պետությունից ես ձեռք եմ բերել քառորդ դար առաջ, որպես օտարերկրյա ներդնող՝ աճուրդի միջոցով և Հայաստանի օրենսդրության տառին համաձայն: Հակակոռուպցիոն դատարանն, իբր «ապօրինի սեփականաշնորհում» ճանաչելով այդ հողատարածքը, մեկ անգամ ևս հաստատեց, որ Փաշինյանի գրպանային իրավարար օրգանն է, նրա պատժիչ մահակը բոլոր նրանց դեմ, ովքեր համաձայն չեն Հայաստանի և հայ ժողովրդի նկատմամբ ներկա իշխանությունների քաղաքականության հետ»,- ասել է Արա Աբրահամյանը:

Նա ընդգծել է, որ բիզնեսների տերերի նկատմամբ պայքարի այդ մեթոդները, վերջին հաշվով, քաղաքացիներին պատժելու միջոց են: «Որովհետև այդ այսրոպեական «սխրանքները» Հայաստանին զրկում են հեռանկարից, նոր աշխատատեղերից, լրջագույն հարված են հասցնում Հայաստանի ներդրումային հեղինակությանը: Չէ՞ որ բիզնեսը հասկանալի և պլանավորման կայուն հորիզոնի կարիք ունի»:

Աբրահամյանը միաժամանակ ընդգծել է, որ չի պատրաստվում փոխել իր համոզմունքները՝ ճնշումների հետևանքով: «Արժե՞, որ ես տխրեմ, ինչ է թե այս իշխանությունը որոշել է ինձ պատկանող հողատարածքը խլել, երբ այդ իշխանությունը մեզանից խլում է ավելին, այն՝ ինչը գին չունի. մեր հայրենիքը, պատմությունը, մեր հիշողությունը, ավանդույթները և քրիստոնեական հավատքը, Մեր Արցախն՝ իր հնագույն եկեղեցիներով, մեր Սյունիքն՝ իր հերոսական անցյալով»,- ասել է նա:
