ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը և նրա գլխավոր խորհրդականները պատրաստվում են հոկտեմբերին Հարավային Կորեա մեկնել Ասիա-խաղաղօվկիանոսյան տնտեսական համագործակցության (APEC) առևտրի նախարարական հանդիպմանը, CNN-ին հայտնել են Թրամփի վարչակազմի երեք պաշտոնյաներ։

Գագաթնաժողովը, որը նախատեսված է Գյոնջու քաղաքում հոկտեմբերի վերջին կամ նոյեմբերի սկզբին, Թրամփը համարում է Չինաստանի առաջնորդ Սի Ծինփինի հետ հանդիպելու կարևոր հնարավորություն։ Պաշտոնյաները նշել են, որ լուրջ քննարկումներ են ընթանում APEC-ի շրջանակներում երկկողմ հանդիպում անցկացնելու վերաբերյալ, բայց դեռևս հստակ ծրագրեր չեն կազմվել։

Անցյալ ամիս հեռախոսազրույցի ժամանակ Սի Ծինփինը Թրամփին և նրա կնոջը հրավիրել է այցելել Չինաստան, հրավեր, որը ԱՄՆ նախագահը փոխադարձաբար ընդունել է, չնայած ամսաթվերը դեռևս չեն որոշվել։ Մանրամասները դեռևս վերջնականապես որոշվում են, և պարզ չէ, թե արդյոք նախագահը իր ուղևորությանը կավելացնի այլ կանգառներ։

Պաշտոնյաները նշել են, որ վարչակազմը դա նաև համարում է նախագահի համար հնարավորություն՝ ավելի շատ ներդրումներ ներգրավելու ԱՄՆ տնտեսություն, ինչը նրա վերջին արտասահմանյան ուղևորությունների հիմնական ուշադրության կենտրոնում է եղել, այդ թվում՝ Սաուդյան Արաբիա, Կատար և Արաբական Միացյալ Էմիրություններ։

«Քննարկվում է Հարավային Կորեա այցը, որը կկենտրոնանա տնտեսական համագործակցության վրա», - CNN-ին ասել է Սպիտակ տան պաշտոնյան։

Պաշտոնյան ասել է, որ այլ նպատակներից են առևտուրը, պաշտպանությունը և քաղաքացիական միջուկային համագործակցությունը։ Թրամփի ներկայությունը տարածաշրջանում կարող է նրան հնարավորություն տալ կրկին հանդիպել Հյուսիսային Կորեայի առաջնորդ Կիմ Չեն Ընի հետ, չնայած Կիմի մասնակցությունը բաց հարց է։ Պաշտոնյաները նշում են, որ ավելի շատ ուշադրություն է դարձվում Սիի հետ հնարավոր հանդիպման կազմակերպմանը։

Հարավային Կորեայի նախագահ Լի Չժե Մյունգը անցյալ շաբաթ իր հետ հանդիպելիս Թրամփին հրավիրել է մասնակցելու Ասիա-խաղաղօվկիանոսյան տնտեսական համագործակցության (APEC) գագաթնաժողովին և ենթադրել է, որ այդ վայրը կարող է հնարավորություն տալ Թրամփին հանդիպել Կիմի հետ, հայտնել են բանակցություններին ծանոթ անձինք։

Ավելի վաղ օրը Թրամփը լրագրողներին ասել էր, որ պատրաստ է հանդիպել Կիմի հետ։

«Ես դա կանեմ, և մենք կբանակցենք։ Նա կցանկանար հանդիպել ինձ հետ», - Հյուսիսային Կորեայի առաջնորդի մասին ասել է Թրամփը։ «Մենք անհամբեր սպասում ենք նրա հետ հանդիպմանը և կփորձենք բարելավել մեր հարաբերությունները»։
