Երևանի Լենինգրադյան փողոցը կանվանափոխվի, նման որոշում կայացվել է Երևանի քաղաքի ավագանու նիստում։ Առաջարկը ներկայացրել էին «Հանրապետություն» խմբակցության անդամները՝ Լենինգրադյան փողոցը անվանակոչել բարերար Քըրքորյանի անունով։ Որպես արևմտամետ ներկայացնող և իրականում «Քաղաքացիական պայմանագրի» դուստր ձեռնարկություն՝ «Հանրապետություն» կուսակցության խմբակցության ղեկավար Անի Խաչատրյանը ներկայացրել է Քըրքորյանի կենսագրությունը, հայտարարել, թե Լենինգրադյան փողոցը մինչ օրս կրում է խորհրդային անցյալը խորհրդանշող անվանում, այն դեպքում, երբ նույնիսկ Ռուսաստանում այդ քաղաքն արդեն վերանվանվել է Սանկտ Պետերբուրգ։

Ներկայացված առաջարկին դեմ էին միայն «Մայր Հայաստան» խմբակցության անդամները, որոնք փաստել են, որ իշխանությունը և նրանց կցորդները ցանկանում են ամեն գնով Լենինգրադյան անվանումը վերացնել, այլ ոչ թե Քըրքորյանի անվամբ փողոց ունենալ Երևանում։ Մեր տեղեկություններով, «Հանրապետություն» կուսակցությունն առաջիկայում նախագծեր է ներկայացնելու նաև խորհրդային և ռուսական այլ գործիչների անուններով փողոցները անվանակոչելու կապակցությամբ։

«Հանրապետություն» կուսակցության նման գործում գործողություններն, իհարկե, հասկանալի է։ Այդ կուսակցությունը հանդես է գալիս արևմտամետ դիրքերից, բայց և իշխող «Քաղաքացիական պայմանագիր» խմբակցության կողմից նման քայլերին տրվող աջակցությունը վկայում է, որ սա համակարգային գործողություն է՝ ուղղված ռազմավարական դաշնակցի դեմ։ Իսկ հետո պարբերաբար բողոքել Ռուսաստանից, որ չի աջակցում Հայաստանին, ոչ այլ ինչ է, քան պարզ երեսպաշտություն։
