Իրանական միջուկային ծրագրի շուրջ ամերիկա-իրանական բանակցությունները Ստամբուլից տեղափոխվել են Օման։ Axios պարբերականի տեղեկություններով՝ Դոնալդ Թրամփի վարչակազմը համաձայնել է Իրանի խնդրանքին՝ բանակցությունները Թուրքիայից տեղափոխելու վերաբերյալ։ Թուրքիայի իշխանությունները ցանկություն էին հայտնել միջնորդ դառնալ Միացյալ Նահանգների և Իրանի միջև, սակայն Իրանը պահանջել է, որ այս շաբաթ բանակցությունները տեղի ունենան Օմանում, այլ ոչ թե Թուրքիայում, և որ միջուկային հարցերի շուրջ անցկացվեն ոչ թե միջնորդավորված, այլ երկկողմ բանակցություններ։

Նախկինում երկու երկրների միջև բանակցությունները հիմնականում տեղի էին ունենում միջնորդավորված ձևաչափով։ Նույնիսկ այն դեպքերում, երբ պատվիրակությունները հանդիպում էին, դեմ առ դեմ բանակցություններ չէին իրականացվում․ ընդունող երկիրը, որպես կանոն, հանդես էր գալիս միջնորդի դերում։ Ավելի վաղ լրատվամիջոցները հաղորդել էին, որ Իրանի արտգործնախարար Աբաս Արաղչին և նախագահ Թրամփի հատուկ բանագնաց Սթիվ Ուիթքոֆը ուրբաթ օրը կհանդիպեն Ստամբուլում՝ Իրանի միջուկային ծրագրի շուրջ բանակցելու համար։

Թեհրանում, հավանաբար, հասկացել են, որ իրենց լրացուցիչ միջնորդներ պետք չեն, առավել ևս՝ Թուրքիան, որը տարածաշրջանում իր դիրքերը ամրապնդելու անթաքույց ցանկություն ունի և փորձում է դա իրականացնել հենց Իրանի հաշվին։ Եվ այժմ, կարծես, Իրանը այս քայլով կանխում է Թուրքիայի այդ նկրտումները, ինչը բնական և տրամաբանական է։ Հատկապես որ հակաիրանական գործողությունները տակից ուղղորդվում և աջակցվում են հենց պաշտոնական Անկարայի կողմից, որի շահերից է բխում Իրանի թուլացումը։ Ուստի իրանական կողմը ստեղծված իրավիճակում, ըստ էության, կայացրել է ամենաողջամիտ որոշումը։
