«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.

Փետրվարի 16-19-ին Ավստրիայում նախատեսվում էր Հայ առաքելական սուրբ եկեղեցու եպիսկոպոսաց ժողովը: Սակայն քանի որ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի քմահաճույքով ու իրավապահներին տված ուղիղ կարգադրությամբ սարքված առանց իրավական հիմքի, հակասահմանադրական, հակաօրինական, բացարձակ շինծու, անհեթեթ «գործով» Ամենայն հայոց կաթողիկոսն ու մի շարք եպիսկոպոսներ արհեստականորեն զրկվել են ժողովին անմիջականորեն մասնակցելու հնարավորությունից, ըստ Տեր Նաթան արքեպիսկոպոս Հովհաննիսյանի, դա դառնում է հավաք:

Բայց այս ամենի մեջ առաջինն, ինչ աչք է ծակում, հենց այն է, որ Հայաստանի պատմության մեջ աննախադեպ բան կատարվեց. քրեական վարույթ նախաձեռնվեց Ամենայն հայոց կաթողիկոսի դեմ: Գիտեք, նույնիսկ խորհրդային իշխանության ժամանակ նման բան չի եղել, որ Կաթողիկոսի դեմ քրեական գործ հարուցվի: Անգամ օտար բռնակալներն են խուսափել նման այլանդակություններից:

Մի խոսքով, այն, ինչ արեց փաշինյանական իշխող ռեժիմը, համազգային ամոթ ու խայտառակություն է: Եվ իրենք՝ Փաշինյանն ու Հայոց եկեղեցու դեմ պատերազմի ելած նրա խմբակը, այլևս այդ ամոթի ու խայտառակության խարանով են դաջված: Ու ոչ միայն այդ:

Եվ պատահական չէ, որ ամբողջ ադրբեջանական մամուլը արդեն երկու-երեք օր է, ինչ այդ թեման է շրջանառում, և անում է դա մի առանձնահատուկ ցնծությամբ և հրճվանքով: Բոլոր լրատվամիջոցների «գլխավոր» թեման է դա: Ասա, թե ում են ուրախացնում քո գործողությունները, և ես կասեմ, թե ով կամ ինչ եք դուք:

Բայց Հայոց եկեղեցին դարերի ընթացքում ծանր փորձությունների շատ է բախվել: Ու այս մեկն էլ, անկասկած, կհաղթահարի: Վստահ ենք, որ հայ ժողովուրդն էլ թույլ չի տա քանդել իր Եկեղեցին:
