Ամենայն հայոց կաթողիկոսը երեկ Մայր Աթոռում ընդունել է տարբեր թեմերից 600 ուխտավոր երիտասարդների, շփվել նրանց հետ, նաև ելույթ ունեցել, որում ուշագրավ շեշտադրումներ կան։ Ըստ Գարեգին Բ-ի՝ այսօր էլ ունենք անցանկալի մի իրավիճակ, երբ հայրենի մեր երկրում Եկեղեցին թիրախավորված է իշխանության ներկայացուցիչների կողմից։ «Վերջին մեկ տարում ականատես ենք աննախադեպ ճնշումների՝ եպիսկոպոսների անօրինական ձերբակալությունների, հոգևոր սպասավորության իրականացմանն ուղղված արհեստական խոչընդոտների, մեր հնամենի վանքերի ու եկեղեցիների բռնազավթման փորձերի։ Իշխանությունների ակնհայտ հովանավորչությամբ Մասյացոտնի թեմի առաջնորդի պաշտոնից ազատված և կարգալույծ հռչակված անձը շարունակում է զավթված պահել առաջնորդարանը և դատարանի ու հարկադիր կատարումն ապահովող ծառայության ապօրինի որոշումներով՝ աշխարհիկ կարգավիճակով գործել որպես թեմակալ առաջնորդ»,- նշել է կաթողիկոսը։

Նա նաև նշել է, թե օրերս նաև հերթական հակասահմանադրական քայլին ականատես եղանք, երբ իշխող քաղաքական ուժը իր նախընտրական ծրագրում ներառեց Հայ Եկեղեցուն վերաբերող մերժելի դրույթներ։ «Այս ամենը, ինչպես քաջատեղյակ եք, ուղեկցվում է շինծու մեղադրանքներով, անհանդուրժողականության հրահրմամբ, բացահայտ սպառնալիքներով։ Պատմությունը, սակայն, վկայում է, որ առ Աստված ապավինությամբ մեր Եկեղեցին միշտ հաղթահարել է բոլոր փորձությունները»,- նշել է կաթողիկոսը։ Վերջին շրջանում Հայ Առաքելական եկեղեցու լռության ֆոնին կաթողիկոսի այս հայտարարությունը չափազանց ուշագրավ է, հատկապես խորհրդարանական ընտրություններից առաջ։

Շատ փորձագետներ նշում են, որ Հայ Առաքելական եկեղեցին ևս պետք է իր ձայնը բարձրացնի, ցույց տա, որ ակտիվ պայքարում է փաշինյանական իշխանության դեմ։ Հակառակ պարագայում եկեղեցու լռությունը կարող են ճիշտ չհասկանալ, և բավական կոշտ այս գնահատականները, որ հնչեցրել է Ամենայն հայոց կաթողիկոսը, գալիս են փաստելու, որ Հայ Առաքելական Եկեղեցու վերնախավն էլ հասկանում է ընձեռված հնարավորությունը, գիտակցում, որ եթե Փաշինյանին հաջողվի վերարտադրվել, ապա նա այդ հանգամանքը օգտագործելու է՝ հայտարարելով, թե քարտ-բլանշ է ստացել նաև լուծելու Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցու հարցը։

Ըստ էության՝ հունիսի 7-ը լրջագույն ջրբաժան է, որից հետո, եթե իշխանությանը հաջողվի վերարտադրվել, հարձակումները լինելու են ոչ միայն քաղաքական ընդդիմախոսների, ազգային արժեքների, այլև հենց Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցու դեմ։
