Լեհաստանի իշխանությունները հրաժարվել են Ուկրաինային փոխանցել ՄիԳ-29 կործանիչները, քանի որ Կիևը Վարշավայի հետ չի կիսվել անօդաչու թռչող սարքերի կիրառման փորձով։ Այս մասին հայտարարել է Լեհաստանի պաշտպանության նախարար Վլադիսլավ Կոսինյակ-Կամիշը:

Լեհաստանի և Ուկրաինայի միջև պայմանավորվածություն է եղել այն մասին, որ Կիևը Վարշավայի հետ կկիսվի մարտի դաշտում անօդաչու սարքերի կիրառման իր փորձով, պատմել է նախարարը։ Նրա խոսքով՝ դա խորհրդանշական, բայց շատ կարևոր ժեստ էր։ Դրա դիմաց Լեհաստանը պետք է Ուկրաինային փոխանցեր ՄիԳ կործանիչներ։

Սակայն Ուկրաինան, սկզբում համաձայնելով, այնուհետև հրաժարվել է այդ պայմանավորվածություններից, ասել է Կոսինյակ-Կամիշը։ «ՄիԳ-եր չեն լինի Ուկրաինայի համար, որովհետև չկան անօդաչուներ, ավելի ճիշտ՝ անօդաչուների ոլորտում հնարավորություններ Լեհաստանի համար»,- հավելել է նա։

Նույն հարցազրույցում պաշտպանության նախարարը, մեկնաբանելով Ուկրաինայի զինված ուժերի ստորաբաժանումներից մեկին Ուկրաինական ապստամբական բանակի (ՈւԱԲ) անունը շնորհելու հետ կապված սկանդալը, հայտարարել է, որ Ուկրաինան «Բանդերայով չի մտնի Եվրամիություն»։ «Չի կարելի ազգային հերոսների պանթեոնում ներառել նրանց, ովքեր կործանում են եվրոպական համագործակցությունը։ Բանդերայով Ուկրաինան չի մտնի Եվրոպական միություն»,- ասել է Կոսինյակ-Կամիշը։

Լեհաստանի գլխավոր շտաբը 2025 թվականի դեկտեմբերին հայտնել էր, որ Ուկրաինան և Լեհաստանը բանակցություններ են վարում վեցից ութ ՄիԳ-29 կործանիչների փոխանցման շուրջ, որոնք ծրագրվում էր դուրս գրել լեհական բանակի հաշվեկշռից։

Ուկրաինայի հարաբերությունները Լեհաստանի հետ սրվել են այն բանից հետո, երբ մայիսին Զելենսկին Ուկրաինայի ԶՈւ ստորաբաժանումներից մեկին շնորհել է «Ուկրաինական ապստամբական բանակի հերոսների» պատվավոր անվանումը։ Լեհաստանում այս որոշումը կտրուկ քննադատության է արժանացել 1943–1944 թվականներին Վոլինյան կոտորածներին ՈւԱԲ-ի մարտիկների մասնակցության պատճառով։
