Պաշտպանության նախարարությունը չի կարողանում մարսել նախկին Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպան Արման Թաթոյանի բացահայտումը, ըստ որի՝ 2025 թվականի ընթացքում Ադրբեջանի զինված ուժերը Հայաստանի ինքնիշխան տարածքում նոր դիրք են տեղակայել։ «Միասնության թևեր» նախաձեռնության ղեկավար Արման Թաթոյանն օրերս հայտարարել էր, որ ադրբեջանական զորքերը Հայաստանի տարածքներում ավելի են ամրապնդվել ու տեղ-տեղ էլ առաջ եկել։ Իր հայտարարությունը նա հիմնավորել էր արբանյակային լուսանկարներով։ Դրանից հետո մի շարք առաջատար լրատվամիջոցներ հետաքննություն են իրականացրել և պարզել, որ ամռանը Սոթքի հատվածում ադրբեջանական կողմը նոր դիրք է կառուցել, որի մի հատվածը գտնվում է Հայաստանի ինքնիշխան տարածքում։ Պաշտպանության նախարարությունը փորձում է հերքել հրապարակված տեղեկությունները։

Արման Թաթոյանը, անդրադառնալով իր բացահայտումների շուրջ ծավալվող քննարկումներին և իշխանության արձագանքին, հրապարակային գրառմամբ նշել է.

«Լրագրողներին «քիլլերներ» համարող ՔՊ-ականներն ուզում են օրենքով լռեցնել իրենց ոչ ձեռնտու լուսաբանումները։ Պատկերացնո՞ւմ եք՝ ասում են դուք իրավունք չունեք լուսաբանելու անվտանգային թեմաներով պաշտոնական լրահոսից բացի փաստերով ներկայացվող այլ մոտեցումները։ Այս մոտեցման համար հիմք են դարձել իմ բացահայտումները, որ ադրբեջանական կողմը Վարդենիսում ու Ջերմուկում ռազմական առաջխաղացում ու ամրացում է արել մեր տարածքում։ Ազատ մամուլը, քննադատական լրագրությունը և հաշվետու իշխանությունը ոչ թե թուլացնում, այլ ուժեղացնում են պետությունը։

Ժողովրդավարությունն ու անվտանգությունը ոչ թե հակադրվում են, այլ լրացնում են իրար։ Ոչ թե կա՛մ, կա՛մ, այլ և՛, և՛․ և՛ անվտանգություն, և՛ ժողովրդավարություն։ Իսկ երբ իշխանությունը սկսում է վախենալ լրագրողներից և փորձում է օրենքով լռեցնել նրանց, դա նշանակում է, որ իրականում վախենում է սեփական ժողովրդից։ Սա է այն, ինչ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը ձգտում է անել․ տանել ադրբեջանական կարգեր ու զբաղվել միայն կեղծ քարոզչությամբ։ Ժողովրդավարական պետությունում անկախ լրատվամիջոցները իշխանության չորրորդ ճյուղն են, որոնք ապահովում են հասարակության վերահսկողությունը իշխանության նկատմամբ։ Այնտեղ, որտեղ փորձում են լռեցնել լրագրողներին, ավարտվում է ժողովրդավարությունը։ Հայաստանում լրագրողները չեն լռելու, որքան էլ իշխանությունը փորձի նրանց վախեցնել նոր հակասահմանադրական օրենքներով։ Ես միշտ լինելու եմ նրանց կողքին՝ անկախ իմ պաշտոնից»։

Այդուհանդերձ, ինչպես հաճախ տեղի է ունեցել գործող իշխանության օրոք, պաշտոնական հերքումները լայն հասարակության շրջանում համոզիչ չեն ընկալվում։ Հասարակական և քաղաքական շրջանակներում պարբերաբար հիշեցվում են այն դեպքերը, երբ սկզբում հնչել են հերքումներ, իսկ որոշ ժամանակ անց հաստատվել են հրապարակված փաստերը։ Այս ֆոնին Արման Թաթոյանի և լրատվամիջոցների կողմից ներկայացված բացահայտումները շարունակում են մնալ քաղաքական և հանրային քննարկումների կենտրոնում՝ առաջացնելով նոր հարցեր սահմանային անվտանգության և իշխանությունների պատասխանատվության վերաբերյալ։
